I cannot say enough amazing things about this restaurant. I did not book a reservation here for the food but for the experience for my 4 children. I ended up being surprised by how great the breakfast was. I should specify that we had breakfast here. Our server got our drink order , brought out cheese , pastries and fruit followed by eggs , bacon, sausage waffles and a potato casserole. The server Marthe was so kind and personable. She was so accommodating. 2/4 of my children didn’t have their autograph books ready to sign when the first princess came by and she brought their books in the back to have them signed. This meant so much to us!

The princess do a dance around the dining area and then every princess ( usually 5 ) go around and say hello to every table , sign an autograph book and take a picture with your or (and) your child(ren). Their commentary is so cute! The value of this was just amazing for us , considering it could take an hour to meet just one princess! We were just delighted when we left and really set the perfect tone for our day!

We took our 21 month old and we had a great experience. The food and service was better than expected. And ALL the princesses were absolutely wonderful to our child. Time and money well spent. Thank you! A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Very comfortable, plenty of food for everyone. No rush and easy going. Thank you Akershus!

Let me start by saying, I was apprehensive to make a dinner reservation based on other reviews, but my family was truly BLOWN AWAY! ✨

We were seated promptly at our reservation time and given a full overview of what we would be served, although we had a pretty good idea of what to expect based off of what we had read from other reviews. Our waiter was amazing and so tentative to us! Our appetizers came out quickly, and the princesses started to show up shortly after. We did see five princesses at our dinner, and they each took their time to autograph my oldest daughter’s autograph book and take photos with both of my children. They were all extremely kind, so beautiful, and were all in character! We were so impressed!!

The main course did come out shortly after the appetizer, but we did not feel rushed at all. I did see that other people mentioned in their reviews that they felt rushed, and we did not have that feeling at all. This is a family style meal, but you can ask for more of anything that you would like, and my family did just that!! The desserts were all delicious, but I think my favorite was the rice pudding.

I truly went into this expecting to pay only for the experience and be let down by the food, and I was blown away by the food and the experience. Although this was a very pricey dinner, I felt like it was more than worth the money to see the look on my daughter’s face every time she was greeted by a princess. If you’re at all apprehensive about making a reservation because of other people’s reviews on the food, don’t let that stop you!! This is such a great way to knock out a bunch of character experiences at once!

Character interactions are brief and limited, the service is just okay, and the food isn’t great.

Even if your kids are really into princess – it’s not worth it

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is a fantastic experience for anyone wanting to meet Disney princesses. The food might be a bit disappointing and it’s on the pricey side, but the chance to meet so many princesses in one spot makes it a truly special visit.

We came here with a group of 11, including 3 little princess loving girls. We met five princesses (Ariel, Belle, Tiana, Mulan, Snow White). Each princess had a few little rehearsed lines, but they also fielded our girls’ questions and comments beautifully.

The food is family style and there was something for almost everyone (one kid wasn’t feeling it). We thought the food was decent. Service was great, ambience was great.

Definitely pricey, and you are going for the characters more than anything else.

Very mixed experience. We had reservations at restaurant opening. We were the second table seated, and we were in this nice little circle room that had big lovely windows and lots of light. The rest of the restaurant was extremely dark and unpleasant. I would’ve been really disappointed to have been seated there. Our server was very interactive and friendly. We really enjoyed chatting with him about his experiences working for Disney.

The princess interactions were a bit of a letdown. They give you this card with 10 different princess signatures on it. I asked if that meant we were going to meet 10 princesses because that seemed like a lot. Our server told us the number of princesses depends on the day. He said it could be two or it could be six they just never know. They also never know which princesses it will be. Unfortunately on our day it was just three. I feel the minimum should be four character interactions for such an expensive meal since the whole point is meeting the princesses in the first place. The interactions are also quite short, a minute or less perhaps because we were the second table each princess visited when they came out. They felt like they had to rush to get to everybody, but I would’ve liked to have seen more involvement.

The food will be great for some and not for others. It is more of a European style breakfast, which we enjoy. That means cold, pastries, cheeses, sliced meats, fruits, and yes, there are some things like eggs, and little heart-shaped waffles. We personally really enjoyed the food.

Honestly, one of the best parts was walking out of the restaurant and walking right onto the frozen ride because we had our Lightening Lane ready. So I wouldn’t call this place a must visit every single trip, but it’s definitely worth going to once maybe later in the day they even have more princesses available.

If you have a daughter (teenager and younger) this restaurant is a must during your visit to Epcot center. The food is beyond edible and served in family-style with unlimited replenish. But you are not dining here for culinary excellence.

It’s quite an experience. While you devour more-than-edible Norwegian cuisine, each of Disney princesses will come to your table for photo opportunities. These are special moments, especially for the little girls.

Yes, the bill will be justified. Use your DVC or Annual Pass membership for modest discount.

Food isn’t good at all. It’s like microwaved ikea food. If you plan to do any character dining in Disney I would avoid this one. For lunch with no add ons it costed us 280$. Princesses were great but you can save the money and just meet princesses in the parks. This restaurant needs a huge food revamp. Our server was ok.

We absolutely loved this dinner! Such a great spot in Epcot (Norway) and the food was DELICIOUS. It was a fixed menu that was served family style and despite being a fixed menu, there were still option for everyone! My kids enjoyed the food just as much as my husband and I did.

Throughout the dinner, we had 5 princesses visit us (Aurora, Belle, Tiana, Ariel and Snow White). They took the time to stop and chat with the kids, take photos and sign our autograph books. Our server was fantastic as well (I wish I remembered her name! I think it was Ida. She could have been a Disney princess, she was absolutely adorable and so attentive). We never felt rushed and it was an overall great experience and worth the price
