Food is great and prices are reasonable and a dim cozy atmosphere. Ann did a fantastic job of ensuring all was well with my meal (two thumbs up for Ann!).
Spider Roll (Sushi): Lots of flavor. Big but not in length. This makes it difficult to use chopsticks. Had to eventually switch to the fork.
Thai Curry with Tofú: Tofu was erfectly made, and cut into triangles. Sauce spice was just right.
(Note: Most customers have chosen to pour the rice over then curry. You can ask for a separate plate if you preferred a little more space)

I stopped in there today because I heard they have some GREAT lunch specials. I got my usual Sesame Chicken. The special came with a side of soup so did the egg drop stuff. Man, it was good. It was a nice size portion for lunch and nice price to boot. Easy location to get in and out of just off of Wilkinson Blvd in Belmont. Trust me, you won’t be sorry.

Exceptional service. Food is great (calamari, agadashi tofu, Mongolian beef, and Thai curry are few of our favorites). Long list of sushi selections, all we have tried have been fresh and good quality. Bar is good, we love Marina she is fantastic. Tell her what you are looking for and she will make or recomend something to suit your taste (the Dragonball is good for a sweet mixed drink, and they have quite a few unique sake offerings, the Fuji Apple one is surprisingly crisp and refreshing, tastes just like a green apple). They do catering and large parties too – We just hosted a special occasion there (30 people)and it was great. They were very careful in accommodating our guests that had allergies, gluten free, vegan, etc. Quite a few gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu and they can adjust dishes to meet your needs. Prices and portions are very reasonable too. Highly recomend, it has been one of our favorite date night spots for a while now.

We tried akahana for the first time to day and it was delicious! I was nervous to bring my kids in with me alone, (they are well behaved, but we had heard this was a fancier place.) our server went out of her way to make my kids feel included and welcomes. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Truly the best I’ve had in years. My children enjoyed the kids menu choices and tried sushi for the first time and loved it! We will definitely be returning!

Akahana is really good. On the outside it looks alright, but once you walk in you see the amazing atmosphere and you will smell the great food. My curry with Udon was delicious. The hints of chicken, udon noodles, vegetables, and the chili is simply bliss. The curry with shrimp was a 9/10. She said,” Even though I don’t like carrots, I love this meal.” Also our server was really nice. We are definitely coming back.

We’ve eaten here once in person and did takeout once. In person we had Sesame Chicken and Pepper Steak with some sushi nigiri with appetizers, plus a bottle of wine, and all was excellent. We also did takeout sushi and the sushi nigiri was in clear plastic containers with each sushi LABELED on the container – the first time we’ve ever seen that! The sushi was great both times, very good quality for about $7 for 2 pieces, and labeling the takeout was a nice touch if you’re trying something new and want to know what you’re tasting each time. Overall worth a visit.
