Loved this local BBQ place while visiting Dallas and waiting on my flight! AJ is very nice and welcoming, along with having some really great food! The BBQ plate (pulled pork and sausage) was delicious and the fried catfish platter was a knockout! Tons of beer on draft too!

We were looking for a hole in the wall with some good brisket and we found it! We were talked into a pickle shot by the table next to us. It was so much better than I expected ! The brisket was good – I only gave 4 stars for service because we ordered two appetizers and the waitress never put them in or brought them … we didn’t pay for them so it wasn’t awful but it was a little disappointing

Pulled into AJ’s on a recommendation after a delay with the airport. What good old fashioned warm and friendly service! Food was delicious, and company from AJ himself was the cherry on top. Miss these folks and that patio full of sunshine already!

Located in downtown Grapevine, this is one of the more prominent restaurants as it’s located right on the main road. The food was ok but lacked that extraordinary touch. We had the two-meat plates and a couple of beers. The staff was very welcoming. Seating indoors and outdoors. Limited parking spots in the back.

Fantastic hidden gem. This restaurant is directly next door to the railroad. We went for The North Pole Express and decided to pay to park in AJ’s lot. The smell coming from the restaurant was so good we knew we were going to be having dinner there. The place is small and comfortable. There’s indoor and outdoor patio seating The food is out of this world. My daughter and I shared the catfish and it is the best catfish I have ever had. The breading was delicious and not too thick. The fries are great. The cocktails are so good….. try the Mules, they have a variety of them. I don’t have a photo of the full menu because they offer a limited menu during the North Pole Express busy season. Grapevine is a wonderful city with a lot to offer. It’s worth a visit and when you’re there or at the Great Wood Lodge go visit AJ’s, you’ll be glad you did. I can’t wait to go back and try the smoked brisket or pulled pork.

Used for bounce luggage storage, which was an excellent experience. Sad I didn’t taste the food, smelled amazing. Everyone was very kind. Definitely stopping in next time I fly into DFW.

We went here on a food tour and loved it!! Best fried okra I’ve ever had! We met AJ, the owner, what a nice guy. You can tell he really loves what he does. The vibe, the atmosphere, everything was great. We will be back for sure.
