Reviews
To those who choose to eat here, good luck! You will need it.
I walked in when happy hour started and was impressed with the portions, price and the quality (ordered karaage and tempura too). My new go to spot after coming home
The food, on the other hand was very subpar. Though beautifully presented, the fish was not very fresh and tasted “fishy”.The tempura was also really oily. Not worth the price they charge and there are better Japanese restaurants nearby.
The service was really bad and definitely not the fault of the waitress. We were there on a Friday around 5pm and there was only one server. We waited over 5 mins as the waitress walk passed us several times without even looking at us. Once seated, it was almost 15 mins before she had time to take out order. All the while, the manager/owner (?) just stood behind the counter and just watched
## The Experience
The decor at Ajishou was elegantly done, creating a pleasant atmosphere for dining. I ordered the Yakisoba chicken and Ebi tempura.
## The Food
Unfortunately, the Yakisoba chicken was quite disappointing. The dish didn’t meet my expectations. I didn’t like the sauce, which made all the vegetables taste bad. On the other hand, the Ebi tempura was crispy, well-cooked and good.
## Overall
While Ajishou had its moments, the disappointing Yakisoba chicken brought down my overall experience. However, the Ebi tempura was a standout, and the elegant decor was a nice touch. If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine, you may want to give Ajishou a try, but be sure to order carefully.

Food
Ajishou delivers a well-rounded Japanese dining experience, with some standout dishes alongside a few that could benefit from refinement.
Oyster Motoyaki
The Oyster Motoyaki was generously portioned, with a creamy texture and a savory flavor profile that hit all the right notes. It showcased a harmonious blend of umami and richness, making it a satisfying start to the meal.
Rating: 8/10
Rising Sun Roll
This roll combines chopped scallop, avocado, and aburi tuna belly. While the presentation was appealing, the flavors, though enjoyable, lacked depth. A slight adjustment in seasoning could elevate the dish to excellence.
Rating: 7/10
Black and White Roll
The Black and White Roll offered a delightful mix of soft-shell crab and avocado, topped with scallop and jalapeño sauce. The flavors were well-balanced, with the jalapeño providing a subtle kick without overpowering the dish. However, the textures could be more dynamic to enhance the overall experience.

Tako Yaki
Ajishou’s take on Tako Yaki featured warm, crispy exteriors and a soft, creamy filling. The flavor was classic and satisfying, though it didn’t distinguish itself from similar offerings elsewhere.
Rating: 7/10
Chikawa Cheese
This dish was a clear standout, with its gooey, indulgent texture and perfectly balanced flavors. It’s an absolute must-try and a personal favorite.
Rating: 8/10
Sukiyaki
The Sukiyaki impressed with its elegant presentation and robust flavors. The broth was rich yet balanced, and the accompanying ingredients were fresh and well-prepared.

Ambiance
The restaurant exudes a welcoming atmosphere with a clean and comfortable interior. The modern yet subtle decor makes it an ideal spot for casual dining or a relaxed evening out.

Service
Service was satisfactory—neither exceptional nor subpar. The staff were attentive but lacked a touch of warmth that could enhance the overall dining experience.
Rating : 6/10
Price
Ajishou offers good value for money, with reasonable prices that reflect the quality of the food and ambiance.
Verdict
Ajishou Japanese Cuisine is a reliable choice for Japanese fare, particularly if you’re in the Walmart Plaza area. While some dishes stood out more than others, the overall experience was enjoyable. It’s worth a visit for its inviting ambiance and solid offerings.
Asked her and she said that it’s “being made” and we watched her go to the terminal to input the roll before going over to the chef. Had to wait another ten minutes before she brought out our food.
The shrimp part of the tempura was tiny with 70% of it being batter. The rising sun roll was mediocre, not great but not terrible, and the angry bird roll that we waited half an hour for was obviously a slapdash job, missing basically all of the toppings with only a quick drizzle of sauce and a scattering of roe.
All in all, we won’t be coming here again.
Food:
Fresh fish, good portion, good flavor. Kitchen items are good (texture and flavor) one thing to mention: I have tried yakiudon at other places, usually the sauce is way too sweet, but they do it very well here. Price is reasonable.
Service:
Service is ok, a little bit slow during lunch time. There are only two servers in the restaurant, if you need to add sth sometimes, it might take a bit time to get them. Food arrives a little bit slow, but within an acceptable time frame.
Atmosphere:
Clean, spacious seating. Comfortable.
Good spot for workday lunch, would come back!
The overall experience was exceptional, offering exceptional value for money, and the service provided was also commendable.
