Tried a variety of items – all were tasty, and arrived at appropriate temps. Loved the crunch on jalapeno “popper” appetizer and happy to see the dressing on the salad wasn’t cream-based (it was light & refreshing). Rolls were fresh but not spicy like indicated. Edamame wasn’t spicy or garlicky, but cooked well & good.

Aji Izakaya in Rosenberg, 10/10.

Food was delicious, beautiful Japanese atmosphere, very reasonably priced. Didn’t get to try the sushi, but definitely will next time.

Tonkatsu Ramen lunch meal, with 2 pork Gyoza, and a pork eggroll with “egg roll sauce” as they call it on top. I’m not a fan of eggrolls, but when they’re good, they’re good! This eggroll was delicious, perfect meat to vegetable ratio, and the sauce was delicious, had a little bit of spice. If you go, ask for a side of extra eggroll sauce!

They also have tableside Kimchi and Ginger, if you like that.

Would 1000% go back again.

This establishment has demonstrated a level of negligence and indifference that borders on criminal disregard for customer safety.
I placed an order for the Chicken Katsu Don and explicitly instructed — in writing, in the special notes section — “No egg please, my wife has a severe egg allergy.” This was not a preference, not a suggestion, not an optional request: it was a clear, unambiguous instruction related to a genuine and potentially life-threatening food allergy.
Upon arriving home and opening the container, the very first thing visible was the egg sitting prominently on top of the dish, staring back as if mocking the entire communication process. My wife could not consume any part of the meal due to the risk of cross-contamination and allergic reaction. The entire order was wasted.
When I tried to contact the restaurant to report the failure (during normal business hours, not at closing time), there was no response.
In years of ordering food from various establishments, I have never encountered such profound incompetence combined with such complete lack of accountability. Failing to remove a single ingredient after being directly warned — in writing — about a serious allergy is not a “mistake”; it is a dangerous failure of basic duty of care.
I will never order from this place again under any circumstances. I strongly advise anyone with food allergies (or anyone who values basic respect) to avoid it entirely. If a kitchen cannot be trusted to honor a simple, clearly stated “no egg” request, it has no business preparing food for the public.

Recently visited for the firs time and it was amazing! The food and the service are top-notch here. Stephanie greeted us when we entered, she was lovely, kind and engaging with the greatest smile. We felt so welcome from the moment we stepped in. The layout and decor is so modern, pretty and eye-catching. I ordered tea and it arrived in a gorgeous, small, iron teapot which made it so inviting. The tea was the perfect strength, super tasty. We began with the Sweet Potato Tempura and the Sweet Chili Chicken Karaage. Our mains were Chicken Curry Rice and the Aji Fried Rice. They also have a house made blend of onion and jalapeno that was amazing. All of the food was fresh and super delicious. We enjoyed our time here, loved our food and Stephanie made our visit extra special. We will definitely return!

First time there, ramen was tasty, sushi rolls ok, strange that it was a bit warm. Bao bun was also juicy according to hubby. Service was quite good, very fast!

Tried so many dishes and I gotta admit most of them were good except for combo fried rice, it was more on the sweet side. Their sashimi’s were so fresh that they were like exploded in my mouth. The lady finger was so good, I had to ordered it twice. Seaweed salad was also good as it doesn’t have any smell to it. Gotta love their tonkotsu ramen, the pork belly was so tender and the broth…yum. Also tried their beef robata skewers, it was good and tender. The meat they used on the hot rocket was tender, almost melted in your mouth. The service was alright although our server was a little struggle with her English.

We’ve been eating here for a while now. Service is always good and food is always consistent and very flavorful. Every roll we order comes out looking like a piece of art.
The restaurant itself is small and cozy with a very chill, relaxing vibe. Tables are bussed quickly and overall, it’s a very clean, well kept restaurant.
Depending on when you visit, parking can be limited. Oh, it’s kid friendly as well. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Rosenberg area.

I visited this pretty interesting Japanese restaurant today, the interior design and bar setup were especially impressive. My family and I ordered a takoyaki, which came with five pieces. It was nearly $8, which I personally felt was a bit pricey. We also tried the sizzling chicken, and surprisingly, the meat wasn’t dry or tough paired with the sauce, it was actually quite good. We also ordered the chicken katsu and chashu don. The chashu was too dry, and the overall sauce was a bit overwhelming.
On the flip side, the chicken katsu was absolutely perfect – not dry at all, and the combination of sauce and egg made it really flavorful, it was a very enjoyable Japanese restaurant with some standout dishes.
