If you like sushi, run to AJ Sushi Cafe! The passion and care placed into each dish is second to none. Sparta is incredibly fortunate to have a sushi restaurant of this caliber. They’re current space is not very desirable for dining in but there are plans to move. They have a robust take out business. I highly recommend!

I have eaten here a few times before, and it’s always good. Today we had our daughter’s birthday party here. The ramen was excellent, but the chef made me a paradise roll that hit the spot. My daughter and her friends had a wonderful time visiting and eating ramen, sushi and Japanese snacks and beverages. Staff are very friendly. Also, they tell me that they’re expanding seating and menu in 2023.

My wife and I stopped in to try the Tonkotsu Ramen and Teriyaki Chicken. Eating here isn’t meant to be a stuff your face affair so the portions are medium to small size (comparable to average American restaurants.)
The rice was perfect. The chicken was great. The bubble tea however was WAY too sweet and for $7 the lack of bubbles was pretty disappointing. Even the plain milk tea was too sweet.
The ramen was pretty middle of the road, taste wise. Not bad. Not great. Given there is another ramen store in town if you’re in the market for ramen I would look there.
That being said this is a café and appears to lean more heavily into the sushi side of Japanese cuisine. Next time I visit I still be sure to try the sushi and will update this review accordingly.

Great ramen and friendly/ helpful staff to accommodate any questions. The homemade chili oil is a great addition. The market side is also awesome lots of quick ramen options for home and cool snacks. Will definitely be returning.

I got a bentonite box with chicken teriyaki and my husband had panko shrimp. We both were super happy with our meals. We ate inside and did some shopping afterwards.

I got the dynomite roll. The person working the register was extremely pleasent,, andfriendly. And the cooks were very friendly and had no issue with me adding to the roll. I intend on being back soon.

Located inside of J-mart, AJ is a professional and the food makes up a lot of great staples and Japanese comfort foods. Staff is very friendly.
