I don’t generally write reviews, but this was such an astonishingly bad experience that I felt compelled to.
One of our four went in the restaurant 10 minute before we arrived to grab a table, but he was still standing, not being helped when the rest of us walked in.
We were seated in a large and comfortable booth. That will probably be the only positive of this review, unfortunately.
The server was friendly and recommended a milk tea. The first round of drinks came out quickly but not without issue. I asked for a water and it didn’t make it with the round. Two friends ordered different drinks and received the same one.
At this point I should mention there was only one other table, maybe three people in the bar and two occupied hibachi stations— all of which had already eaten.
We ordered our meals and an appetizer and then we waited, and waited, and waited. An hour and 10 minutes went by before the first dish came out, no appetizer. The two burger dishes, see pictures, came out with the amount of fries I could count on two hands. The burger, “The Bacon King,” was supposed to come with, aioli, onion straws, lettuce, tomato and a few other toppings. Once again, referring to the picture, it was a tiny, what appeared to be frozen, undercooked piece of meat drowning in an elementary school cafeteria, stale hamburger bun, covered with visibly low end, store brand, single slice of cheese. Lest we forget the half inch of bacon they were kind enough to bless my bun with before serving me.
I asked for water two more times by this point to no avail.
When we were finally able to get an employee back over, a challenge in itself, we told him this was unacceptable for a $20 hamburger. He apologized profusely and took it back. We had pretty much had enough at this point, we just asked to be comped for the meals and to get the check. Once again, the server was very apologetic and comped the two burger meals and first round of drinks. We do appreciate that & while he could have been more attentive, he handled the situation well and did eventually get us that water. We believe we overheard him stand up for us after sending it back, as well. It was also appreciated.
I rarely complain, let alone send a meal back without wanting a replacement. I never write a place off after one visit because every place could be having an off night. However, I will not be giving this place a second chance.
PS: The servers milk tea recommendation was spot on. That was very good.

I almost forgot to write this since it was such a bad experience I wanted to block it out of memory but I had dinner here twice and was not impressed with it the first time and I wasn’t going to go back but my girlfriend insisted even though I told her I know a bad spot when I see one. Lo and behold I didn’t need to convince her this time, I love Japanese food and a good steak and so we ordered some sushi and a nice steak. We asked for a medium rare cook which is common and I’d figure a steakhouse would nail it. That would be wrong, we got served a RAW STEAK. The sushi was very middle of the road. The place was dead too so I imagine they would’ve taken their time with our order. We sent it back and they cooked the steak a little longer. It was gross man. No comp or anything. We paid our bill and got out of there. I couldn’t warn someone enough about this place. Save your money and go somewhere else

The steak appetizers sliders was not on ther menu first bummer… We unfortunately never got to eat because the service was extremely poor. Upon entering, our view was blocked by a coat rack placed in the middle of the dining room this should be in the entrance and the restaurant itself was absolutely freezing—we had to keep our coats on the entire time.

Quality service requires adequate staffing, and basic comfort—like heat—should be addressed. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing from start to finish.

AJ steakhouse is located at a convenient location in Cheshire, quiet with a relaxed atmosphere. The presentation and taste of the dishes are one of the best I’ve ever had. We had steak, fried oyster, shrimp pasta, and beef burrito. We were amazed by the ingredients and details in each one of them. They are much better than what we had elsewhere. I especially enjoyed the cocktail. There is a full bar integrated. They carry all the wines and liquors and have a variety of cocktails. The bartender is very professional. They went extra miles to make each of us enjoyed. My 8-year-old really wanted something that looks like my cocktail but without alcohol. There wasn’t a menu item like that but they made one jus for her! As you can see, the dessert is super too, half vanilla ice cream and half hot chocolate cake (perfect combination). Overall highly recommended!

I’m so glad I passed by this plaza to discover this AWESOME place! The best steak at the best price. The Ribeye is a must-have, and definitely try the Ninja Burrito if you love sushi/sashimi!! There’s so much more on the menu that I want to try I will definitely come back.

I ordered a expensive meal with calamari and wagyu and chicken hibachi and the sauce that comes with the calamari barely is enough for a few pieces so I called in and specifically asked can I get another sauce to go with the calamari the guy on the phone Christian said he would make sure they did well when I got my food btw I love 24 min away I got my food and opened it and there was only one sauce not that big of a deal not to write a review like this but I take the one sauce out and this is how much is in it ( see photos ) so I called up and all I get is my bad dude I told them to put two, so instead of making sure there was two like you said you just say my bad man I’ll tell them what they messed up on, like they are going to give a shit at all I really don’t even believe he said anything either way customer service was trash plus you went out your way it seems like to give the smallest amount of sauce how cheap do you have to be to cut back on someone’s sauce they need for that meal I just spent damn near 60 dollars on one meal you worried about conserving your 60 cents worth of sauce absolutely trash business practices I can’t even believe that is allowed the owner if he had any respect should be ashamed they are handing stuff like this out with their meals it sucks because I’m not driving 20 something min for sauce I shouldn’t have to the business should just be on point last time I will ever order from here I use to order all the time from this place also

We enjoyed our visit immensely. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. The sides were huge! It was the best mac and cheese I have had in a really long time. The service was great and it was a nice restaurant for dinner! Everything was delicious!

From the moment we walked in the waitress was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean, bathrooms are clean and let me tell you about the food. The food was very tasty, fresh and in large quantity! We ordered almost every appetizer on the menu and they did not disappoint! The ingredients were fresh, delicious and were delivered hot! The entree portions were large and the sushi was also delicious! I ordered the volcano sushi, my sister ordered the paradise sushi , the other sisters ordered filet minion and lobster tail. The beef was fork tender and melted in your mouth. The entree also came with fried noodles and fried rice! The owner was so personable ; he came by our table to visit for a bit. I recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to visit again!

Amazing service, great food, and excellent ownership! I had the steak, shrimp & chicken hibachi with noodles & fried rice. Everything was super fresh and delicious. I came the next day for sushi and was equally as impressed with the freshness and flavor or the rolls and nigiri. 10/10 would recommend to people who love quality food and excellent service. I’ll be back soon!!

My food was so good. I empty my plate, we ordered fellete miñon with lobster, my husband ordered fellers Mixon with chicken, and my friend was fellete miño with scallops. Was amazing was my birthday. I highly recommend ☺️ I was very satisfied. And Mark the served was amazing I loved ❤️ ♥️
