We enjoyed our meal at Airport Inn – delicious pizza and salad. We’ll be back for the $10 burger lunch special (11a-3pm).
Medium pizza, generous antipasto salad, a beer, and a pop for $40 plus tip cannot be beat!!
Everything was fresh, the meat on the salad was clearly high quality, dressings are house made. Ask for extra italian – you’ll want to swim in it.
Ranch was also top notch.
Google is mistaken; they are still CASH ONLY but have an atm on-site if you need it.
I don’t think there’s a server on Sundays but the bartender was attentive and happy to help us out.

Airport Inn – Grosse Ile
The new owner, Pat, and his entire team were absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in to the warm handshake and genuine “thanks for coming by” on the way out, my family felt like we were visiting an old friend’s home for dinner rather than a restaurant.
The pizza was SPECTACULAR, and the antipasto salad could easily feed eight people. Portions were generous, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the pricing was more than fair.
I 100 percent recommend giving this new old gem on Grosse Ile a try. We will definitely be back.

Ordered a pizza and was told 1 hour.
Went to pick up and was lukewarm.
Wasn’t told cash only or price over phone, had to go back to pay later.
Cost changed overnight from 21.60 in person on puckup, then went to pay back nexr day after we had cash, and bill said 20.50, they crossed it out and made us pay 21.
Wouldn’t give us a receipt.
Was told about pizza temp complaint that they don’t know how long for a pizza to be made, even though they try to keep it under lamps.
As per menu, pizza was 16, +2 topping @ 1.50 makes 19. 6% sales tax is +1.14, should be 20.14 for pizza.
If you want an obstacle course for your pizza, there you are. Otherwise, not going back.
Forgot to mention the pizza toppings were light, and didn’t sit well, not sure if the cooling, or of other variables in the cooking affected it.

First time trying the pizza and antipasto salad at the Airport Inn under the new owners — absolutely impressed! The pizza was hot, flavorful, and had that perfect crust, and the antipasto salad was fresh with generous toppings. You can tell the new owners are really putting pride into the place. Great food, friendly service, and a nice local spot to support on Grosse Ile. I’ll definitely be back!

Great hand made pizzas. We flew to Grosse Ile, parked the plane and walked across the street to the Inn. Best to call the pizza in before you get there.
