Thought we would try this place based the outside look driving by and pictures from Google Maps. Don’t usually go to restaurants rated under 4 stars on Google Maps but we gave them a chance. We had to wait far to long to be seated and we were given 3 booths back to back for party of eleven people even though the restaurant is quite large and had plenty of tables available. I guess their seating chart was more important than customer comfort. After orders were taken, waiting up to 40 minutes for all of the food to come out. On top of that half of the food was cold and what was prepared properly wasn’t very good. Our drinks were not refilled so we had to ask another server for help. The look and feel of its place was incredible inside and out. But how it’s being run pains me. This could be a great destination restaurant to attract people to this cute delta town. Sad☹️

It was a really cool restaurant with decent service but the food just wasn’t that good. I started with the tamales and they weren’t hitting it. They kind of had a slimy texture to them. The BBQ sandwich that I got had potential if it hadn’t been for the tough hard pieces of meat mixed in with it. Why restaurants try to serve customers meat lime this I will never understand. But it is a very cool atmosphere.

Grilled pork bites were super tender and the honey sauce that came with it was delicious. Crawfish tails were good and came with a nice chipotle sauce.
The crawfish po’boy tasted great, but the baked beans were the highlight of that entree. Mixed with BBQ sauce and bits of meat
The grilled salmon tasted great and the broccoli was steamed well with a bit of seasoning (unlike some places that don’t know that spices exist lol).
Very country/rustic atmosphere, pleasant service. Also had pool tables and plenty of TVs for those that partake.

The overall place was really cool. Allot of old decor that was very interesting to see. But the wait for the food which was a daily special and a hamburger was 45 minutes. My husbands burger wasn’t hot. The daily special was very small portioned. Was not busy at the time. We travel daily so eating on the rd is importance to us. I truly hope some changes can be made to make it better.

This place is a very cute restaurant. You will love the decor in there! We went for a private event, so I am not sure if we had a special menu- but the food was superb! If you are just passing through, this is definitely a place you want to pop into.

My first time trying frog legs They were DELICIOUS! The atmosphere was charming and the food was scrumptious. Our waiter was the best. Very friendly and took great care of us. This was also my first time eating here and I will be back. ♥️

This restaurant might be good, but we will never know. We drove TWO HOURS to eat at Airport Grocery because it was recommended as a fun experience. We were seated and there were 3 tables with customers in the entire restaurant. After TWENTY FIVE minutes of waiting, no tea order taken, no greeting by server, we got up and left. We will not return- ever. THREE tables of customers in the whole restaurant. We literally watched the waitress have a full-on conversation with one of the tables. She stood there the whole time. The other table by us wasn’t checked on either, no refills, etc. Guess her conversation was really important! Wish I could review as “0.” Absolutely a complete joke of a restaurant.

Food was good and atmosphere was cool. However the waitstaff and service was horrible! Once we ordered we never saw our waitress again and I had to go find someone else to get us drinks. She only had two tables so she wasn’t busy. Then she gave us our ticket but never came back to get the payment. I went to the counter and waited to be acknowledged for 15min. While there two couples had come in that had waited for almost twenty minutes and hadn’t even been acknowledged by anyone. Finally one of the men actually took a bus cart and cleaned a booth so he and his wife could have a table while staff members just watched. It’s such a cool restaurant and sad because the staff and management really seemed to not care at all about any of the customers.

Easily the worst service I’ve experienced. Our waitress was extremely rude and showed little to no concern for customer service or the overall dining experience. Half of our sides were forgotten, the correct dressing took an unreasonable amount of time to receive, and there was absolutely no sense of urgency. I would not recommend Airport Grocery to anyone looking for quality service.
