Vibe & Service: VERY NICE!
Coming back?: I have to now!!!
I love sushi and rolls and this place is a must visit. Let’s get to the point!
1. Food
It’s hard to find a place with good quality all-you-can-eat sushi these days. I’ve been to many not-too-expensive sushi restaurants: Ginza, Kura, #1, etc. I have to say that with the money that I’m paying, this place ranks absolute top. But please remember to get the premium all you can eat sushi. Premium AYCE it about 10 dollar difference but you will NOT regret whatsoever. Make sure you get one for every person visiting!
2. Vibe & Service
People who work here are very chill and attentive (not too attentive which is perfect!)
3. Returning?
Oh yes. Especially if I’m spending similar amount of money, I’m more than willing to go further and visit place where I can enjoy good quality sushi. And this place is it!!!
Extra: It was today that I visited. When it opened 11:30am there were people waiting in the parking lot! It means it’s THAT good!!
They’re known for the AYCE sushi, but I come back for the quality not just the quantity. It is all very fresh, very well made, and beautifully presented. I’m afraid I might never try another sushi place in this area since I have no reason to look elsewhere.
– Exceptional fish and roll quality
– Great service
– Fair lunch price (but I feel premium isn’t worth it because you only get one serving per item)
It is a bit steeper than what I prefer, but the quality makes it a solid splurge option. Best ayce sushi I have had, and one of the better sushi options.
The regular ayce menu has a lot of choices as well. Plenty of sushi options, poke sashimi, appetizers, salads, udon soup, and if you’re into rolls, there’s a ton to choose from, including some smaller rice free/low carb rolls.
The spicy tuna crispy rice has to be one of my favorite appetizers here, as well as the jalapeño shrimp – the sauce is lovely, not overly spicy. The crispy squid legs and classic tempura are great too. There are a lot of appetizer options.
If you enjoy cooked fish do yourself a favor and order yellowtail or salmon Kama (collar), you will not regret it (there is a limited supply, so if this is your jam, come early. It’s always perfectly cooked served with lemon wedges and a tangy savory dipping sauce.
I really love that you can request hand rolls for the traditional maki rolls!! Perfect if you crave a traditional roll, but don’t want to overstuff yourself with too much rice.
The jalapeño yellowtail sushi is always one of my favorites, tuna is always a winner and if you’ve never tried surf clams here they are very tender, slightly sweet with an addicting pop of wasabi flavor. The octopus sushi has that nice slightly chewy texture and isn’t rubbery in texture. The salads are great to get in some greens, the sashimi salad is my favorite, the dressing is savory. Cucumber salad is also nice.
The service is always excellent here, the staff is very friendly and attentive. You will never be waiting long for service, they will come and inform you if there is a delay in bringing out your order when they get busy and they’re always checking to see if you’d like drink refills, clearing plates right away as you eat to your hearts content, and they do not hesitate to bring extra ginger & wasabi if you request it. Highly recommend.
One thing to note is if you come on a weekend or holiday, it’s dinner prices all day. If you want to try it out for the first time, if you are able to, come during the week at lunch for a lower ayce price. Also note, if you want all you can eat, everyone in your party has to be on board. This place gets really busy, recommend arriving early to avoid a long wait.
We come here often when craving sushi and not wanting to spend too much at our favorite local place.
Friendly staff in a 50’s oddly shaped building.
