I love their AYCE, the staff is always super nice and the sushi is so fresh and good. I honestly love sushi and this is my favorite place to eat it. So I 100% recommend it

Food quality is good. I ordered the ahi and hamachi salad, as well as the Kapalama roll. Ingredients are fresh and the fish was great. Price was also fair. Location is right off Dillingham with construction, but is managable to access by bus at King Street.

This place is solid, but we had a group of 4 adults and 3 youths and it must have thrown them off a bit. We chose the AYCE option and we were served double of some of the items we ordered. I personally judge Sushi Restaurants by the quality of their unagi. This place has good unagi. The clientele is all locals and we love finding places like that when we travel. This is a good option.

$35 for AYCE sushi. Spicy ahi nigiri is a specialty. The firecracker roll is a favorite.

I will always love Ahi and vegetable however it’s been at least six years since my last review and things have changed. First of all, they have a $35 all you can eat with pretty extensive hours. We went on a Wednesday afternoon around 12:30 PM and was able to get a seat easily. We did not order the AYCE since the kid doesn’t eat much but we did see boats of sushi going past us and it looked absolutely delicious.
The kid ate the salmon bowl which raised their price at least nine dollars since six years ago. Inflation at its best. She said it was mostly rice however and the cuts were definitely much more thinner. It did come with miso soup as usual. I had the spicy Ahi Bento which went up about three dollars. It was just ok, kinda dry. I also ordered a two piece salmon nigiri since it was happy hour. As good as it was, the pieces are not as thick and plump as it used to be which was sad. The calamari I thought was burnt but when I tasted it, was not. It was seasoned well, but super oily and only leg pieces.
would I go again? Yes. However I was disappointed that the cuts were much thinner than what they used to give. Maybe next time I will try the AYCE as it looked pretty darn good.

DONT GO HERE IF YOU THINK BASIC HUMAN EMPATHY IS IMPORTANT

So basically they don’t care about customer health. We got the first round of all you can eat and our food came. My friend and I started feeling nauseous. We both stopped eating and couldn’t finish the first round. We were both in obvious pain for 30 minutes and nobody came to check on our well being. I then started shaking and almost seizing for a solid 15 minutes. And while I was seizing a waitress came up to our table and gave us our bill and told us she will be charging us extra for the left over food we couldn’t finish. They then handed us the car reader and waited for us to pay while I was still seizing right in front of one of the staff. (The bill was $88 for not even a player of sushi) My friend called 911 to get paramedics, and none of the staff came to check on us or even see what’s going on. Eventually the paramedics had to bring me out on a stretcher and all of the staff could not care less about my well being. Ended up going to the ER. Poor customer service.

Located in the Kapalama Shopping center, near Honolulu Community College. Excellent All you can eat sushi restaurant (AYCE). Superior deal compared to Genki sushi. Great quality, generous cuts, and vast menu. Really mix Todai (Waikiki all you can eat buffet). This format is very similar to All you can eat restaurants in Las Vegas (Chinatown area). Outstanding value at $35 per person!

I’m not sure why there’s such a big difference between this location and the Ala Moana Location. All of the raw fish I’ve eaten here don’t taste as good compared to the times that I order the same thing at the Ala Moana location, especially the standard ahi poke. I’ve started only ordering the cooked items when I go to this location, and at least I haven’t been disappointed by those.

2023 Update: Holy moly, things have really started going downhill for Ahi and Vegetable. The taste of the fish is still pretty much the same as it was when I left my original review, but now everything is almost $5 more expensive. In addition, there were inexcusable issues with my most recent order there. One of the dishes was completely wrong, I ordered a bento and they gave me a salad. The biggest issues were that there were fish scales in my nigiri and fish bones in my sashimi. This is absolutely ridiculous for a place that supposedly specializes in fish.

2025 Update: Somehow ended up back here again, and paid the price. I swear that everyone that comes here for the AYCE simply doesn’t care if they’re eating trash. All of the raw fish I ate had poor texture and taste, and was very fishy smelling. Everyone in my party ended up getting food poisoning. DOH needs to shut this location down already!

Their fish is super fresh. I highly recommend this place. If you dine in, be sure to PRESS the service button. We didn’t realize this until we had waited awhile. There are no pics as we ate our food immediately. Mmmm

We came here on a Saturday evening at 6PM for their AYCE sushi thinking that with rail construction this location wouldn’t be that busy. Boy could I be more wrong. This location was busy. We had a party of eight that we could have gotten seated right away however in two separate booths. Obviously if you had a small group you would be fine but we all wanted to sit together. We were fortunate enough that a table was about to leave so we got seated relatively quick. As I mentioned they were busy and seemed short staffed. The girls did what they could to get things done in a timely manner even with the volume of people there.

The food was comparable to the Ewa location which we been to before. We ate a feast there and could honestly say we got our value worth of Sushi. If you are in town and looking for a good AYCE, then please give this place a try. Support local business especially being that there is so much construction that I’m sure has impacted them in one way or another.
