This was my first time visiting, and I wanted to give it a try because I like exploring new places. The atmosphere feels different from other Ethiopian restaurants in the DMV area, with a mostly non-Ethiopian crowd. While the portions and prices are reasonable, the flavors didn’t quite reach the level of authentic Ethiopian dishes or other restaurants I’ve tried.

A few weeks ago I ordered from here using Doordash and I just say that the food is amazing! When it arrived, it was still hot and fresh. I ordered the lamb tibs with collard greens and chickpeas. Everything was so good and flavorful with the right amount of spice! They give really good portion sizes as well for a reasonable price. I look forward to dining within the restaurant and trying more items!

We were warmly greeted and had a delicious meal. Large portion of flavorful food. Restaurant was clean and not too loud.

Idk how the people on here are claiming that this is the best Ethiopian food in the DMV. Those gotta be paid reviews. Spicy Lentils were so stiff, potatoes, carrots, and cabbage were so mushy, lamb was far from tender, and the collard greens tasted like they were canned. Not to mention, I’m writing this review as I’m breaking out in hives 🙁

First time trying Ethiopian food, at the recommendation of the employee working at the time, I ordered the meat & veggie sampler and thought it was fantastic. Opted for the spicy option and although hot, was not by any means unbearable. Food took around 30 minutes to come out but otherwise service and experience was fantastic.

Absolutely delicious food. I’m don’t know a lot about Ethiopian food but I know the food here is great! The portions are big we left with food. The staff are super friendly. It’s on the smaller side but if there isn’t space to sit you should absolutely get take out. It’s so good.

The restaurant is small, but it is welcoming and feels cozy. They didn’t have the Doro wot, which I always order at the ethiopion restaurant, but other than that, everything else was great. The vegetarian dishes tasted little different than other Ethiopion places, but it was still good. The fish and lamb tibs were tasty. Overall, the service was good and it is a nice place to try out ethipion food.

Tried Doro wot for my second time, and it was good. It wasn’t the traditional drumsticks chicken that is served in other restaurants. I still loved the taste. I added more pics.

We decided to give this place another try recently. We ordered several dishes for take out. We did not order online or in advance so there was an expected wait. The service was great. The food was pretty good. I wish they had more variety with some options. I would give them a try if you have never had Thai cuisine before. The place itself was clean and there was plenty of parking available. The beets were delicious though.

Let me start by saying Ahadu has great food when they are actually open for business. The last three times we went there though they were closed for a variety of reasons. First we went there and they were closed for a private function, the second time the chef did not show up for work the last and most recent time they just decided to close for no apparent reason. We have to drive over 20 miles to get to this restaurant and didn’t mind it, since the food was so good. Now that we had 3 strikes, so we are not going back. 🙁

This was my first time here. I came to celebrate a friends birthday. It’s super cute and quaint. The atmosphere is clean and lovely. Very inviting. Staff is very friendly. The food looks like a little but trust me if you’re starving like I was it’s more than enough. The mango juice was fresh and the injera was amazing!!! I do prefer my beets to be cubed and cold rather than cooked but that’s justes personal preference. Other than that, I will certainly be returning to try the ceremonial coffee. We were able to see this demonstrated for the table next to us!!! Thank you for wonderful service.
