Opened in 2016, the goal of Ah’ Pizz was to create a pizzeria that serves authentic, Neapolitan pizza and to bring fresh ingredients and the art of pizza-making to Harrison, NJ. Pizza at Ah’ Pizz is delicately prepared using imported, Italian ingredients and cooked for less than 90 seconds in a wood-fired stone oven. This artisan approach to pizza-making was a first for the area, and patrons soon started coming from all over New Jersey to experience it.

Last week I visited Ah Pizz and let me tell you, these nachos were a total flavor explosion. The chips were perfectly crisp and golden, with just the right touch of char around the edges. Honestly, these nachos were on another level. The spicy kick was bold without being too much, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. It felt like the kind of comfort food I crave on a cozy day. If you try them once, you’re definitely going to fall in love with the flavors. The food at Ah Pizz truly hits every craving spot-on. I paired the nachos with a spicy mocktail , and that combo was everything. The drink one I’ve tried several times here was super refreshing and balanced out the dish so well. It set the whole vibe for my meal. Absolutely perfect.

My family and I recently had the Salmon and Chicken Francese at Ah Pizz Restaurant, and both dishes truly impressed us. The salmon was super-fresh, perfectly cooked inside, moist and tasty. The Chicken Francese was equally delightful. The chicken was juicy, lightly coated, and topped with a tangy, smooth lemon-butter wine sauce. It had that comforting, classic Italian feel. We also tried a few other dishes, and honestly, everything we tasted was delicious. On top of that, the way the staff treated us made the experience even better. Overall, this restaurant clearly knows how to do justice to classic dishes with a fresh, elegant touch. I’m happy to share my experience.

We ordered takeout for pizza, pasta and calamari. Food took slightly over an hour to be delivered. The calamari was in a clear plastic container so the condensation made the calamari soft. The food had so much salt especially the pizza (and I love salt) that it was unbearable to eat. There’s no reason why there even should be a pound of salt in the pizza crust. The pasta we ordered was the better dish but too much salt in the meatballs and the red sauce should have a sweeter taste to it (not a salty one). A tip for the kitchen to balance out the acidic, saltiness of the tomatoes is to add a little bit of sugar; don’t add more salt. The food has potential to be good but for the price, it is currently not worth it. We really wanted to like this place but they need help in the kitchen to create better recipes.

I tried the Eggplant Rollatini for the second time, and I was seriously impressed. The eggplant was soft, and the creamy ricotta filling was incredibly flavorful. The tomato sauce tied everything together — tangy and topped with perfectly melted mozzarella. This dish took me by surprise in the best way.
That melted cheese on top was absolute perfection. It felt like a cozy homemade meal in the best way. Ah’ Pizz is seriously an amazing spot!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Nicole and Janai . I’m not sure I spelled Janai,s name correctly .. I had a very big problem that I needed to solve and i asked them for their help.I do occasionally come to the restaurant to eat from time to time, but my issue Had nothing to do with eating there today. My assistant from my restaurant at the World Trade Center to drop off food to me to bring to a very important meeting .she had to get back to the restaurant right away. I asked them if they would accept the food from her and hold it for me until I got there. They did without hesitation and even wished me good luck with my meeting .everything worked out great !I will be a customer for life thank you again!

New to Harrison and Jersey City so let’s get started on reviews. As a prior restaurant owner I may be more verbose than others with my reviews. Let’s break it down
1. Food Quality – 5 Stars. This is a great Neapolitan style pizza with a great crust and cooked at a high temp. The cook did a great job with slight charring and not over or under cooking the “pie”. We had the Fig Pizza and the Mezza Luna. We added Arugula to the Fig Pie and the flavor was fantastic. Great combination of sweet with the fig, strong goat cheese flavor, and the salty from the prosciutto. Great pie – a must. The Mezza Luna was good and love the half calzone / half Marg. But needed a little more flavor. Garlic knots were good but think they need more proofing to make less dense but good crust / dough flavor.
2. Service – 5 Stars. our server was very pleasant and attentive to needs. Love when I don’t have to ask and wait for a refill. She was two days in on the job but was experienced and great to engage with.
3. Cleanliness / Atmosphere – 4 Stars. Floors / tables were clean however seems like stringer chemicals are used on the tables that starts to bring off the finish which can make it feel a little more sticky. Not a loud place but positive vibe.
I am interested in trying many other dishes so can’t comment on the pasta / salads. But definitely we will will return. If you like a thin crust Neapolitan pizza, GREAT place to come.

Not sure why the reviews are mediocre, bordering on bad here…. Despite them, I came in for dinner on a Thursday evening anyway. They had trivia night while I was there and the place was moderately busy. Since I was dining alone, I sat at the bar and the lady who helped me was very friendly and helpful. She was quite busy, but that didn’t really affect my service. I liked watching the pizza makers make pizzas. This place has two style of pizza; Neapolitan and NY style and they have two ovens to match those styles. Since they offered Neapolitan, I opted for that and asked for the crust to be slightly burnt… I love that flamed char on the pizza crust!
I tried the Mezzaluna pizza which is two things in one; a calzone and a pizza. It was very very good! The dough was amazing, especially with that charred edge! The sauce was excellent and so was the cheese!
Definitely will return as all the pizzas and food I saw being served looked great too!

To be honest I forgot why we had not been there in a while. 8 people at the bar. Tables empty and it took almost 2 hours for us to eat. Takeout moving like crazy. We ordered 2 drinks and water, 7 wings, garlic knots, salad, personal pie, kids pasta.
Drinks took 15 minutes, personal pie came out with in 20min. Time goes on 30 minutes later salad and Side Pasta which we ordered a kids pasta, wings came out 15 minutes later. At this time there were 4 tables with people at them. One waitress doing tables, the door and all take out orders. The only decent thing was that we were able to watch the games. Food was decent but very annoyed at the fact it all came out backward. Sunday night during football 2 ppl needed by the door. One for take out and one for service.
Very upsetting. There’s really no where else to go and enjoy wings and a drink while watching the game.

Ordered off of Uber and never expected to have experienced a “what I wanted” vs “what I got”. Pizza was not as advertised same with the tiramisu. Pizza was cut uneven and the cheese wasn’t sprinkled even either. When I saw the tiramisu I didn’t even this that it was tiramisu. Tasted weird too. First and Last time ordering from them.

Abysmal service with an empty restaurant. Arrived 8:55, seated by 9. Drinks finally ordered with meal 9:13, drinks arrive (beer and water) 9:21, food arrives 9:46! Pictures tell the story, food was edible. Tables were not setup, couple next to us annoyingly and loudly asked for silverware. It looked like the bartender was also doing table service “did someone over here order a Cape May?” It felt like some sort of training situation, or ridiculous sitcom plot. Recommend avoiding.
