I wrote a good review on this restaurant awhile ago based on my 1st experience.
Today, I have to retract that review and give a 1star. My review is based on the hygiene.
We tried this restaurant couple of times. We have always enjoyed their dishes. We got some dishes for to go yesterday, stir friy
pork belly and a fish. Today I packed a dinner for my son since he had to work late. When he got home, he told us he found a fly on the fish. I asked him “are you sure? Is not the bean sauce?”. He showed me the picture he took… My son said “How can it be a bean sauce? It has legs, ok?” Eww… I think this will be my last time ordering food from this place.
Food tastes really good. Service is ok. May be need to watch out in term of hygiene.
Not recommended!

This place is located at a Chinese supermarket food court yet they offer great Taiwan food. I brought my Taiwanese friend here once, now she is willing to drive back just to have meal here. We ordered the stinky tofu, tofu is very flavorful. The veggie pot is so delicious that I saw from someone else sitting there and I could not help but to ask the name of the dish.

This eatery is a culinary gem that whispers the secrets of Taiwan through its dishes. The mastermind behind this authentic Taiwanese kitchen? A chef who once commanded the kitchen of a high-end establishment, now pouring her expertise into a space that humbly masquerades as a food court. Yet, the simplicity of the setting belies the extraordinary flavors that await. Among the myriad of dishes, the Taiwanese Pork Chop Bento stands as my personal favorite. Accompanied by an ensemble of side dishes and rice, the pork chop is marinated to perfection, it’s juicy, bursting with flavors that are both bold and comforting. Here, the pork chop transcends its humble origins, rivaling, if not surpassing, its counterparts back in Taiwan. Why, you ask? The sheer generosity of the portion amplifies the experience, each bite more satisfying than the last. Sometimes, more is indeed more. For those in pursuit of the quintessence of Taiwanese cuisine, look no further. This unassuming spot in Naperville, devoid of any pretense of ambiance, is where your quest concludes. This is a culinary narrative, rich and unfiltered. In the pages of this food court’s menu, you’ll find authenticity that’s rare, flavors that speak of the distant island of Taiwan, and a reminder that the essence of a place can often be found in the most unexpected locations.

Absolutely loved my experience at Ah Chung’s! This family-owned gem serves the most authentic Taiwanese cuisine I’ve had. Every dish tasted like it was made with love and passed down through generations, capturing the rich flavors and textures that make Taiwanese food so special. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were generous. If you’re looking for an unforgettable meal that’s both comforting and exciting, look no further. You won’t regret dining here—this place is the real deal! Highly recommended! Dishes ordered were: honey walnut shrimp, crab Rangoon, beef noodle soup, orange chicken, chao mi Fen, and quin saun nen tofu.

This review is on the amazing bowl of jjanpong (spicy seafood ) noodle that I had here. It was legit ! Broth was delicious and the noodles seemed hand cut. Nice and chewy. Happy to find a local place to enjoy a hot bowl of jjangpong in Naperville/Aurora

If you are craving for authentic Taiwanese “MaWan”, this place makes it perfectly. 5.99, not bad for the amount of time and effort it takes to make these. Pretty large size too!

Been visiting this place since they opened a few years back.
Not only do they maintain the quality over years, they also expand the menu!
Really authentic Taiwanese dishes, and nicest staff ever.
I was shocked to find out there’s so few reviews on Google and have to let people know about this gem.
If you like Chinese food, you will like this place.

Exceptional Taiwanese Cuisine and Service at Ah Chung’s Kitchen!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ah Chung’s Kitchen, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! We ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Beef Noodle Soup, Fried Pork with Sliced Tofu, Orange Chicken, and their Signature Fried Rice Vermicelli, and every single dish was absolutely delicious.
The Honey Walnut Shrimp was perfectly crispy and the sweet, rich glaze was divine. The Beef Noodle Soup was comforting and flavorful, with tender beef and a broth that was just the right balance of savory and aromatic. The Fried Pork with Sliced Tofu was a wonderful surprise, with a perfect crispy exterior and a tender, juicy interior. The Orange Chicken had just the right level of sweetness and tang, and the Signature Fried Rice Vermicelli was the perfect accompaniment—fluffy, full of flavor, and packed with a variety of textures.
What really set this place apart was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and genuinely helpful in guiding us through the menu. They made excellent recommendations and ensured we had a great dining experience.
If you’re looking for fantastic Taiwanese food paired with outstanding service, Ah Chung’s Kitchen is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
