Like my son said 10×10! Lol This is our very first time trying this restaurant! We are from Modesto but had to try this hidden gem in Salida! My sister is the one that recommended this place to me! She said “Sister! You must try this place! It feels like I’m eating at Mom’s!” She didn’t tell me twice! My son and I HAD to try it and let me tell ya….My mom has to be in the back making the food! It was absolutely AUTHENTIC! Something super hard to find! Y’all really want a taste of Real Mexican food you MUST COME HERE!!! I just got back from Cabo and their food was horrible! I couldn’t wait to come home and have REAL MEXICAN FOOD! Now I have a spot to go to when I don’t want to cook and want to be catered to! So my son had a hot chocolate with his quesabirria & his consume! He DEMOLISHED his plate! I got a cafe de holla! It was not too sweet (which I loved!) Just a perfect flavor for me! I just wish it was a bit hotter…not hot at all actually. It’s so cute because they bring you a madeleine cookie with your coffee/hot chocolate! I’m not a fan of those so my son got 2! I also got 2 sweet corn tamales and a corn handmade tortilla with sour cream and fresh Mexican cheese with their salsa tatemada!!! Delicious! I’m super picky with salsas and I liked all 3 salsas I had! The sweet corn tamales were made all from corn, some people add flour and I don’t like them like that. I was impressed! My only complaint was that they were just a tad bit dry. Now my corn handmade tortilla was delicious! You MUST try it! So simple yet so delicious! Both of these items are on their ”secret” menu! (Your welcome!) our 2 hostess Sarai y Ady were absolutely attentive and super nice! They truly made you feel like you’re at home! My son truly liked the ladies so much that he asked a picture with them and the girls were flattered! My son felt like the luckiest lil man! Lol we will definitely keep coming back! They have so many good options to try from! I want to try them ALL!!! Next time I go I want to try their chilaquiles plobanos! I shall do a review on them when we go back.

Food was good. Ordered Super Burrito and a can coke for 16$ kinda steep in my opinion.
Regardless burrito was good and service was very helpful. Small mom and pop restaurant. Would I stop by again? Probably not but I did enjoy my lunch

We stumbled across this establishment on our way to SFO from Yosemite NP. What a lucky break for us!
It was difficult for us to chose only one of the many dishes on the menu!
The chili rellenos were some of the best we have ever had. The birria was new to me and was fantastic.
Sad for us that we will most likely never eat here again but given the opportunity we will make it a priority.
