Very nice authentic Mexican restaurant. Clean, well lit, and modern decor. Seafood lovers will not be disappointed as they have a large selection of seafood dishes. They also have traditional tacos, quesadillas, and tortas (sandwiches). They also have a nice selection of drinks. I was a little disappointed that my margarita had to be served with the house tequila as I prefer more expensive tequila in my drinks. Our waitress was friendly and our order was served promptly and food was presented nicely. Our food was tasty and fresh and portions were plentiful. On Saturday’s they have a lovely karaoke singer and she was a pleasure to hear sing. Overall, we had a great first experience and I would recommend this restaurant. I will definitely return the next time we are in Grand Rapids.

Upgraded and absolutely wonderful. Interior is pretty, atmosphere is very nice. The north side is a sports lounge, and the south side is a family diner, including a play area for kids.. Service is great. Attentive but not overbearing. And the FOOD! Mainly seafood, everything from Chicharon de Pescado to Pulpo al Gusto. But they have plenty of appetizing alternatives. We will definitely be back. There are several things we are wanting to try.

The food here is way better than it has any right to be. They specialize in Mexican seafood and serve stuff you won’t find elsewhere in GR, like octopus. I don’t know of any place in the city that has as wide of a selection on Mexican seafood. It’s really impressive. They have other more traditional Mexican fare too and it’s all really good. The free chips and salsa at the table is excellent.
Drinks are strong. Bartenders know what they’re doing here. After 9:00 Agave turns into a Latin nightclub with a dance floor that plays music so loud you can’t hear your own thoughts, let alone the people sitting at your table.

I called to place an order and was hung up on because I didn’t speak Spanish. I proceeded to call back and they hung up again! The same thing happened when I went in person. They act like they don’t know English. THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! Why would you be running a business and only serve to people that speaks your language? I even tried to speak Spanish and they didn’t have the decency to try to take my order. I was trying to support your business but your service SUCKS! I don’t even leave reviews I just let it be but this is unacceptable! Tacos not even that good to turning people away!

It was our 1st time eating at the restaurant (we’ve only been at the bar section). Right when you walk in, you’re surrounded by beautiful decore and lighting. Food and drinks were delicious. Paco, our server gave us nothing but superb service. Very attentive during our meal and checked in frequently. Main reason I went was to watch a boxing fight and was able to see that ( fight located in the bar section ) and listen to the dj they had that night as well. So, if you want a tasty meal and don’t mind WATCHING a sport event while live music is on, go check it out. They even have a nice little smokers section in their patio.

My 1st time frequenting this establishment under the new ownership. Amazed with the total overhaul of the establishment. As the receptionist stated that this is not a ‘tex-mex’ restaurant but ‘seafood’ restaurant. Place was great and service also. Me and my wife also enjoyed the oyster shots!!!

This place is gorgeous! Had jumping for the kiddos, nice touch, except not supervised. Big kids jumping and deflating the bouncies with the little ones on it. Parents take care of your children! Food was ok, service was good. Tons of options for seafood if that is your thing.
