Went here with a friend for girls night and the food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I think it was the best Mexican food out that I have had, in a long time and was decently priced. Loved that the chicken wasnt “boiled” and shredded. And it had flavor!! The drinks were very good as well.
I loved it all and will definitely be back. Our waiter was very nice and attentive as well 🙂
10/10 overall

Delicious food and great drinks. They give you a corn tortilla with beans on it, so good. Tacos are soft corn tortillas with cubed meat, cheese and acacado. Best taco i have had in this end of town..

We had such a great experience at **Agave Azul**! The meal starts off strong with a complimentary fresh bean soft taco on what tasted like a handmade tortilla, topped with verde sauce—such a welcoming and delicious touch.

Our server, Angel, was incredibly kind, polite, and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The food was outstanding. I ordered the quesabirria (absolutely delicious), and my husband went with a combo plate—chile relleno and a steak burrito. Both meals were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly.

We also enjoyed the Cadillac margarita that’s on special Saturday nights—highly recommend! To top it all off, we ended the evening chatting with Brian and Stephanie from **Dad’s Country Kitchen**, which just added to the warm, friendly vibe of the place.

Delicious food, great service, and genuinely friendly patrons. We’ll definitely be back!

Oh man I really really wanted to like this place. It’s been reviewed and recommended as “authentic” Mexican food. But it’s just not very good. I think by authentic there are some more exotic Mexican options but the execution on taste just wasn’t there…at all. Very under seasoned and my chicken and steak were so dry from being overcooked. I could have mustered a 4th star but it was also very expensive. And I get it, it’s table service and there are only a few tables so I’m sure labor costs are higher, but again if the food just wasn’t good. It was very average.
I do want to say I loved getting a warm corn tortilla with beans and cheese was so charming and delicious! Also our 3 plates took 35 minutes to arrive. Not a huge deal but make sure you have 90 minutes to order and eat. Ordered the fajitas and Cameron’s Diablo. The fajitas were more like stir fry and way over cooked. The Cameron’s Diablo had an interesting sauce that was just very under seasoned. $27 for fajitas and $21 for shrimp. Also $13 for a kids hamburger…ouch.
Oh I’d love to know if I ordered the wrong thing or just caught them on a bad night.

I don’t typically leave reviews for Mexican restaurants because, frankly, I’ve struggled to find one that truly stands out and offers something beyond the generic. However, my experience yesterday was a game-changer—it was surprisingly good, wonderfully refreshing, and has completely restored my faith that true, high-quality Mexican cuisine still exists.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was great. It felt welcoming and authentic, and the service was impeccable. The waitstaff was genuinely attentive and friendly throughout our entire meal.

One of the first things that set this place apart was the appetizer. Instead of the typical, expected chips and salsa, they started us out with a unique and delicious corn tortilla taco topped with beans and cheese. It was a simple, thoughtful touch that instantly signaled a different approach to Mexican dining.
For my main course, I ordered the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (Garlic Shrimp), and it was absolutely delicious. The serving sizes were perfect, and I especially appreciated that the dish wasn’t masked by the traditional, heavy toppings that tend to make Mexican dishes generic elsewhere. The focus was clearly on quality and flavor.

The value was also excellent. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the generous amount of shrimp served in my dish.

Thank you so much to the restaurant team for the great service and food! I will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend this incredible option to all my friends and anyone looking for an elevated and authentic Mexican dining experience.

We’re visiting from Texas and we were so happy to find this place. The food was very very good. The rice and beans were very authentic. The first thing they brought to us was a bean taco as an free appetizer. I never seen that from a Mexican restaurant but it was very good.

The cheese enchiladas had some really good cheese and the steak taco that came with it was AMAZING! It had some queso fresco and a slice of avocado.

My fajitas were very good. I love onions and it had a ton of it. The saute was good but I did prefer the steak so that would be my recommendation. But just to be clear the fajitas were good, I steak was just better!

Angel served us and he was great. This is much much better than matadors which had atmosphere but the food was very disappointing.

Highly recommend!

Overall, the experience was great and I would come here again. It has great food and very friendly staff. The people I went with thought it was overpriced, so I docked one star.

The bacon wrapped shrimp were cooked to perfection. We just wish there were more of them!
The steak nachos were very tasty but didn’t have a lot of steak. They also only come with a small scoop of guac and sour cream. For the amount of nachos you get, it would be nice to have a little bit more toppings.

I have been coming here for a few months now and I am always satisfied with every aspect of this restaurant. Staff is super friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Their food is excellent along with their specialty drinks! I also love to sit out on the patio on summer nights as their patio is pet friendly. 10/10 would recommend if ever in the area!

Date Night Magic at Agave Azul!

My husband and I had one of those spontaneous “let’s just go out!” nights and somehow struck gold by landing at Agave Azul. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like old friends—warm smiles, great energy, and the kind of vibe that makes you instantly glad you left the couch.

We sat at the cutest little two-top, and then entered the real MVP of the night: Angel—our server and now official honorary third wheel. Hands down, one of the best servers we’ve had in YEARS. Quick, funny, full of amazing recommendations (hello, dreamy cocktails!), and truly on top of every detail. If there were an Olympic event for service, Angel would be bringing home the gold.

Let’s talk food. Instead of the standard chips and salsa, they brought out this chef’s kiss bean-stuffed tortilla with green sauce that made me question everything I thought I knew about appetizers. I ordered the fish tacos—SO flavorful and fresh—and my husband got some glorious trio platter with all the greatest hits. Every bite was a win. Shoutout to the kitchen team for making magic back there!

We left full, happy, and already planning our return. Between the next-level service, the fantastic food, and the buzzing, welcoming atmosphere, Agave Azul just earned a permanent spot in our date night rotation.

THANK YOU to Angel and the whole team for making our night so special. We’ll be back soon—and we’re bringing friends next time!

Angel is amazing – he made me a custom margarita while I waited for my to-go order, which, by the way, is so authentic and delicious. Best Borracho beans I’ve had in a long time and the pollo en mole (Chicken Mole) was to die for. Ridce cooked perfectly!
