My family went today and had a great experience. The food was delicious and fresh. We weren’t sure how everything worked so we went inside, ordered and ate at the small table set up they have there. The lady that helped us was so nice and went over everything with us. We had ox tails, curry/jerk chicken, rice, egusi, fufu and the ginger tea and ginger lemonade. We will definitely be back. Not a complaint, but just a heads up, the food is fresh which means there is a wait and they only offer 2 drinks so if you don’t like ginger tea or ginger lemonade consider taking it to-go.

This is a wonderful place to get West African cuisine! The Egusi soup is delicious! My kids like goat and okra soup. And goat stew always finishes quickly. Fufu is soft and tasty and comes with most meals. This restaurant has generous portions which works for those of us who like to eat!!! I have used this place to cater small gatherings and am always satisfied! The lady who runs the restaurant is sweet and extremely easy to work with. My family prefers buffet style and she was so accommodating. Allow time to pick up the food, it will be worth the wait!
By the way, there is a place to sit but no restaurant area with waitstaff. If you have a lot of people, I suggest pickup or a delivery service.

This is not a sit down restaurant with wait staff and tables and chairs etc. This is just a kitchen with a Nigerian lady making your food.

Best option would be to call and place your order and pick it up. If you don’t know what you want, go down there and the lady will explain the options. Wait time is around 15 minutes.

Food was incredible! The big combo meal is enough for two adults who are moderately hungry.

Amazing food and an even better experience. The dishes were authentic, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned.

The woman running the restaurant is incredibly kind and welcoming. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and that makes the experience even better. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for real Nigerian food.

My 1st time here, but won’t be my last! The Goat was very tender and flavorful and not to bones, which is a plus. The beans and rice were seasoned well..overall, love the food and want to try more.

I cannot get over how good the food tastes. Every time we travel to Greensboro we head straight to African Sister. The is very well made, delicious, and phenomenal. The flavors just melt in my mouth and I just can’t stop eating, it’s like it’s a drug. It’s by far the best food I’ve ever had and I’m an adventurous eater and I’ve had lots of different foods. It’s not really known for being a sit down restaurant but the food is what matters, there’s only one table. The lady working at the front was very kind and patient with me. Overall I rate this restaurant a 5.0 star out of 5.

I have been wanting to try fufu and egusi for years and finally forced myself out of the house tonight. Hubby and I split the fufu, egusi, yellow rice and jerk chicken plate. Came out piping hot and smelling amazing. The flavors are just wow. I’m not even sure how to describe it. You get hints of smokiness and definite curry but the other spices were new to us and very welcomed. We will definitely be ordering here again. I’m not sure if it was Kayanda that brought me the meal, but the woman was very nice.

Everything was very flavorful. First time trying to Egusi soup . It’s pretty good as well. I’m use to the okra soup that’s all I get from any west African restaurant. Today i had chicken , okra soup and rice . Omg that chicken is bussin . Taste like it’s smoked and packed with seasoning . The rice is also real tasty . 10/10 . The owner she is very nice and caring of your needs . I know the food is prepared as order so please be patient with her. If you want great authentic food A must try ..That chicken came from heaven by the way
