Absolutely amazing food. BUT even more important? So very kind!! I ordered plantains but had wanted to try the fufu but had already eaten. He very kindly made me a sample of fufu with a sample of sauces! So so kind. Definitely recommend! Headed back for the salmon next time!!!

Absolutely amazing!!! The owner is the nicest person ever! We had gotten another dinner and got some of his plantains for dessert and asked him about his fufu and egusi because we had never tried it and when we went to grab our plantains he was so nice and gave us some fufu and egusi to try with a bunch of sauce and it was so good! We will definitely be back and definitely get our dinner here next time. 10/10 recommend!

I have waited 6 years to try African food and finally got to this weekend. I have to give the credit to TikTok for introducing me to different cultures and their cuisines. African dream CAME THROUGH! The FLAVOR.. omg… the SERVICE.. just as good as the food! The kindest owner with food that was so addicting I had to go back the next day and get more! 6 years was worth the wait and I’m glad i chose African Dream Cuisine!!! The smoked chicken and brisket are 10⭐️!!! Yes, the independence center isn’t everyone’s favorite but it’s SO worth the whole experience I had! I’ll be getting more food here when I’m back in town(i live 2 hours away). It will be a food I crave for another 6 years! Thank you sweet owner- you are a kind soul that sure knows how to cook!!!!

Wasn’t sure what to order and was guided to picking my plate with ease. I did the smoked chicken with cabbage, rice and fried plantains! Being on a health kick, this was an excellent decision and the flavor BURSTS! And when you think it can’t taste better, that peanut butter sauce elevates it all!

The owner was very gracious to go get the flower to prove that his puff puffs were gluten-free. Please work very hard to source all his ingredients and make sure that they are safe for us to eat. I have the goat and it was wonderful.

Mixed feelings about our experience here. While the service was friendly and most of the food was decent, my entrée was not edible. Chicken, rice, and fufu were good. The cabbage did not seems fresh and the goat was the worst I’ve ever had. Near $50 for two just left us expecting a better experience.

Very fresh, healthy, attractively presented food. I got one of the vegan combos with a side of plantains which were perfectly caramelized. I loved the root punch ginger juice drink, too. A refreshing change from the usual veg options available.

Stopped into Independence Mall with my wife today. For lunch, we decided to try something new. We saw Miss Stella open African Dream Cuisine. The food here is AMAZING! Miss Stella gave us suggestions on what we wanted to do with the sauces. Excellent service, beautifully prepared and SO flavorful! If you’re in Independence, bypass the burger and eat at African Dream Cuisine! 10/10
