Today we went to the restaurant, small place, seats 10 ppl may be.
The couple are so nice and served us well.
Must try is mutton briyani combo, bread halwa is vera level. There is so much mutton piece in one plate. Almost more pieces than rice.
Love thier chicken biryani too.
We ordered a mutton Biryani, butter chicken, Garlic Naan.
Biryani:
It is nothing like authentic Biryani. The meat i don’t think was goat but lamb. Had a smell to it and texture was weird too.
Butter chicken:
This was the best thing out of all we ordered and this this was very mediocre too. Hardly any meat. The sauce was runny.
Tandoori chicken:
Definitely pre cooked and reheated. The masala was over whelming and since it was pre cooked had some chewy portions to it.
Naan:
Biggest disappointment and this is my biggest reason of the low.score. These were just deep naans heated up. If I want to have deep naan I can warm them up and have them from home. I do not need to go to a restaurant and have the frozen naan I have at home. Charging 2 dollars for a naan I can get a pack for from home for the same price.
Anyways once again I feel bad about giving this review but I want to be honest so the owner can improve their food as I want them to succeed.
We ordered large mutton biryani, 2 portions of tandoori chicken, medium pepper chicken, 3 garlic naans, and later chicken noodles.
The owner was honest enough to tell us that the naans were frozen and prepared. But honestly, they didn’t taste frozen at all — they were soft and nicely buttered.
The pepper chicken was quite spicy but had a real authentic taste. It was strong enough to clear my sinuses! If you like spicy food, you’ll enjoy it.
The mutton biryani was the highlight for us. In many restaurants, biryani feels like plain rice with gravy mixed in. But here it felt properly cooked together. The mutton pieces were soft and boneless, which we appreciated. Spice level was medium — not too much, not bland.
The chicken noodles were different from what we usually get elsewhere. Slightly darker in color with good sauce and decent chicken pieces. A little spicy and unique taste.
Dessert options were limited. Egg sweet was sold out, so we tried bread halwa — and it was a nice way to finish the meal.
Overall, it was a good experience. Honest service, flavorful food, and worth trying if you like authentic taste.
