Active Culture is a lively, health food restaurant founded on the belief that healthy food can taste amazing! We are a fast casual, family friendly restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We use whole grains, local organic eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables, and unique sauces or dressings that are made from scratch, in-house daily. We have a kid’s menu. indoor dining and patio seating. We have a rotating selection of frozen yogurt and sorbet, organic vanilla, and organic chocolate! Nice Whole Foods used for ingredients, I had the BBQ Burger which has a tasty beet sauce and a lentil patty. I ordered it with the coconut shake which is creamy and tasty. Only reason why I didn’t give this a 5 star was that my side dish were some underwhelming tortilla chips that didn’t even come with salsa.

so yummy and tasty! The staff is friendly, the seating is great! This is the one healthy place my kids actually like and want to come back to over and over again so I have no issue listening to my children’s demand when it comes to this place. So happy a new tasty restaurant is in Novato!

Hands down, the best place around for vegan food. I eat anything but I also appreciate a good and flavorful vegan meal and this place didn’t disappoint. The Bay bowl was delicious, the lentil burger was very tasty and firm (not soggy like other places), their honey smoothie was the very best. The service was top notch, super friendly and helpful. The MOD gave me a couple of suggestions on the food and drinks and she nailed it, the service itself is enough to come back.

If I could leave 3.5 stars I would. We got the coconut shake and potato tacos. The coconut shake was very good and I would get it again. The potato tacos had good flavours but had very little potato and a ton of cabbage. They were also missing the cheese and falafel sauce, as stated on the menu.
