Acropolis

The Acropolis restaurant is a staple in Endicott New York. We have been serving this community breakfast lunch and dinner for over 45 years, and will continue to do so as long as life allows. Unfortunately with this pandemic we had to shorten our hours, due to lack of help. We do our best to be open seven days a week Monday through Saturday 6 a.m. till 2 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. We do serve breakfast from open till close. And have a full breakfast/lunch /dinner menu. And you are welcome to dine in or order a takeout. Thank you for allowing us to serve you for all these years. And hopefully we’ll be serving you for years to come.

What the service lacks, The food makes up for.

The place could use a remodel on the inside. The booths are small and I’m a petite person. I kept kicking my guests under the table. We asked for drinks but then the waitress came with bottled soda saying they were out of ice, did we still want a glass. I let it slide because things happen, no big deal. However, we had to ask for the menu’s, waited an unusual time for only two booths filled, us and someone else. And had to sit through staff saying things like, “I’ll hit you.” Just as I was about to get up and leave my guests said, “the foods here”. I thought… “Okay let’s see what they bring.” Unaware who they were serving or that a review was to come. They handed us the plates. Maybe they did know… the waitress split one of our drinks. Was she nervous! Or just bad at her job all together. The food was the only thing saving this place from a bad review! It was to die for! The fries actually tasted like fries and the sandwiches were a huge hit. The Acropolis at 27 Washington Ave. In the Village of Endicott pulled a rabbit out of its hat. I don’t know how they did it! We wanted dessert but they brought the check not even asking. My advice, replace the waitresses. And think about a remodel. And by the way… take cash with you. No checks or credits accepted. Thank goodness I came prepared.

This place is a gem! Wife and I were on an errand in Endicott and she found Acropolis on Google Maps. We’re so lucky she did. We had a late breakfast — food was perfectly cooked, portions were huge, and the cost was low. Staff was super friendly and attentive, and it’s worth stopping there just to meet the owner! It’s about 25 miles away from home, but we’ll be back for sure!

Awesome breakfast spot. The benches are tore up and not very comfortable and the food isn’t super fancy but the prices are super cheap and you get your food within minutes. I only go for breakfast but the food is very good. Portions are pretty good sized, especially for the price and it’s cooked fresh to order on the grill and its to your table within 2-3 minutes usually.

Use to be good food with mediocre service. Upon my last visit in Nov, we decided to go for breakfast here. We ordered and just before our food came, a cockroach came crawling from between table and wall.

I decided that this would be our last visit there. We told the server and she acted like she didn’t care. As time has passed (4 months) we went to go back yesterday and people were walking out the door. They advised us not to eat here as they also had a uninvited visitor at their table.

4 months later and still having an issue with pest control, no thanks.

About what you’d expect from how the place looks. The pancakes I had were okay, but the coffee and everything else was poor. Service was lacking, had to walk over to the waitress to get the check. Most of the seats are ripped, the place looks rundown, and they only accept cash.

Go to the Pantheon instead. Right down the road and leagues better

Super cheap prices. Friendly waitresses. Food is good. Great French fries and marinated chicken sandwich. 3 people ate here with drinks and bill was less than 17 dollars. Wonderful! Clean bathrooms. The best kept secret.

I have been going here for 30 years. This place is a tradition in my family. Same tables, seats, and friendly owners i meet as a kid. Did is good and cheap. Put your kids into a breakfast food comatose on a budget.

This ain’t not fancy schmancy reaturaunt. This is where you burt Reynolds looking dad had coffee and a cigarette in the smoking section in the back.

Excellent prices. Caring staff. Historical atmosphere. Keep your money local! They take cash only. So don’t plan to pay with a credit card. That’s how they keep their prices low. I forgot to mention, the food is terrific!
