The food here is soo good. Always has been. The hostess/bartender is prompt and attentive and the food arrives fairly quickly. I go during meal times so I don’t know how it is at night

We have been visiting the main tap for years. Yummy burgers and friendly service! The past few months however, they have only had one person working, having to man the grill and bar both. Seems like the owners are trying to be cheap, not to mention hard on their employees!

The Main Tap is the place to get some food on a Sunday. Bartender/cook/housekeep Tyson crushed it. Been coming here for 19 years and their burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches and fries rival most in the Madison area local bar scene. You won’t be disappointed!

Food was alright but not seasoned very much. The portions were really large. The bartender/waitress was really nice and friendly.

Food is excellent. It’s bar food! But it’s good bar food. Excellent burgers and fries, really good fried pickles. Service good, a little slow, but there’s usually only one maybe two people working. But it’s worth it. Relax and have a beer!

I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. You have a choice of 3 cheeses. The small fries are more than enough for 2/3 people. I was alone and ate the fries for the whole 1st half of the bucks game. Oh, the beer is cold too!

6:30 on a Tuesday night and they are out of hamburger. I order the 3 piece chicken tenders and they are HUGE.
Next time I come for the chicken tenders!
