Super delicious!!! Got the lamb gyro with a greek salad and, eventhough I usually don’t eat fresh tomatoes, I loved each and every bit of it (and ate all the tomatoes).
Definitely gonna recommend this place to my friends and will come back, whenever I’m visiting the US, again.

Large amount of food, average taste/quality and still pretty expensive. Shared 1 veggie gyro + 1 lamb gyro combo meal w can of coke + fries = $28. Smashed falafel in the veggie gyro didn’t have any crispy edges but tasted okay. Lamb tastes like most I’ve tried in the city–bland and a little dry. Soft, mealy fries. I did like the fluffy bread. Polite guy at the counter. Bathroom had soap and water and paper towels. Sorry to say the most memorable part was how sticky the counters and tables were. The day a gyro/doner restaurant in Sacramento cooks on a spit and shaves it to order will be the day I rave about the meat.

I had lunch at Ace’s Gyro Shack today, and let me just say—this was one of the best lamb steak plates I’ve ever had.
From the moment the plate was served, I could tell I was in for something special. The lamb steak was perfectly grilled—tender, juicy, and bursting with rich, savory flavor. It had just the right amount of char to give it that smoky, mouthwatering aroma without overpowering the natural taste of the meat. Every bite was a masterclass in how lamb should be cooked: succulent inside, seared outside, and seasoned to perfection.
The plate came with a generous portion of fluffy, aromatic rice that soaked up the lamb juices like a dream. The pita bread was soft and warm, ideal for scooping up the meat and rice together. And let’s not forget the tzatziki sauce—creamy, refreshing, and garlicky, providing the perfect cool contrast to the bold flavors of the lamb.
What really sealed the experience for me was the attention to detail and freshness in every component. Even the side salad was crisp and vibrant, not an afterthought like at so many other spots.

For what it is–a little gyro and shawarma hole-in-the wall place–it executes perfectly. Deliciousness is clearly and justly the top priority here. And I’m perfectly okay with that. As long as the chicken shawarma maintains its tasty ratio of deliciousness to cost, I shall return.

Food was incredibly tasting. I got the combo plate with the lamb, chicken and beef over rice with hummus salad and pita. I live two hrs away and I was telling my buddy that this food is so tasty, if I know a friend is headed down, I’m going to ask that friend to pick me up some. And bring it home two hrs away cause it’s that worth it. If you haven’t you should definitely try it. You won’t be disappointed.

nowadays everyone charging 10-15 for a simple burger but at least their fits the bill.

Very friendly atmosphere, fast service, food is super tasty!! Vegan plate and spicy chicken plate were beyond delicious! The ingredients are of top freshness and quality. Highly recommended to anyone looking for tasty Mediterranean food in Sacramento!

The owner and his wife are very nice and welcoming people, and their service is always on point. If you haven’t been, this establishment is an absolute must. Try the Lamb Steak Gyro!

Small restaurant, order and pay up front, one thing threw me off is the optional tip start at 18% for total self-service even for dine-in, but decent food, big portion. Tried the lamb and steak plate, the meat itself was a bit salty for me but did go well with the rice and sauce. Recommended.
