Reviews
First, the good. The hummus is the BEST hummus I’ve ever had. It’s very creamy and just delicious. I also ordered a Fried Kibbeh. It’s very flavorful and crispy. I could have easily eaten three of those with a side of veggies and been satisfied.
Now to the reason this is a sad three star review and not a five star.
I also ordered the Falafel Wrap in a tortilla. The only thing I asked to leave off when I placed my online order was tomatoes. After trying the first two mentioned above, I was stoked about the wrap. However, it is a disappointment to say the least. The falafel has a good flavor. However, there is no hummus, no tahini, no onions, and no pickles. There is literally nothing but the ground up falafel and wilted mint. It’s dry and only tastes like falafel. No tang, no creaminess, nothing but falafel. I feel like this was made as soon as I placed the order and not made so it would be hot and fresh for the time I requested.
The guy who works in the truck was sitting in his car looking at his phone when I was standing at the truck waiting for someone to assist me. If you knew a customer would be arriving at any moment given the specified order time, wouldn’t you be in the truck with hot, fresh food? I know it’s hot out but it wasn’t professional since it was a pre-ordered time.
For $10.00 I would expect more than just the promised five falafel balls worth of ground up falafel in a tortilla.
I so wish the wrap met the quality of the hummus and kibbeh. If so, it would have been a five star review.
I have no idea what kind of bread was used on The Italian, but it was amazIng. Had an fantastic, oily, yet crispy texture. It was great.
Also, the fries were so different than what we are used to. Curious if they are using the oil from the shawarma. Whatever is happening, keep doing it because the fries are great!
This was our first time checking this place out, but we will definitely be going back.
Saying as a person who worked at a gyro shop for a few years
He had a soda I’d never tried, very good. Kind of like fruity coca-cola. Picture attached
