Their food is amazing. It tastes different from other foods because the seasonings they use are quite unique. We went there one day, and we will go back! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good food!

Lovely spot. We ordered the vegetarian platter and it was a great sample of all of the different options. (Also, plenty for two people) The service was great! Definitely will be back to try some of the meat options.

We ate at Abol today and the food was excellent. Every dish had the right amount of seasoning and it reminded me of home. We had the veggie combo and the special kitfo. We also had the Ethiopian coffee and baklava. The service was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Food was awesome. Quantity was enough for 2 people.Even we had to pack our food home. If you want to try Ethiopian food , you should definitely give this a try. Staff was very cooperative.Loved the ambience with Ethiopian music. We paid approx $30 for 2 people but it was worth the money.

This used to be my favorite place but I have no plans to return. They have gone 100% vegetarian.
The food remains delicious.
Service was a tad slow, but he’s always very friendly. Just not always hygienic. Please don’t cough on the drinking glasses when you’re carrying them in front, or reach inside the glass to pick it up before (or after) filling it.
Ethiopian food is amazing. The food is still great.
This place used to be outstanding! The food still is, But with the very limited only vegetarian menu, and some progressive service issues, we will choose elsewhere. (Had same staff in the past and it’s been similar but this was worse and was seen for multiple customers the day we were there)

As I stepped in, you get a different feel of the surrounding since the music, the ambiance, the paintings are fresh and new to your eyes. The menu was soon handed by a aged person who I later came to know was the owner. He explained the menu and we had to wait around fifteen minutes for the order to arrive. To start with the appetizers, the Sambosas (2 quantities per serving) was somewhat okay and very close to the Indian samosas. Both in look and taste. What followed was the main course. The traditional Ethiopian style where members on a table share meal from one common large plate that includes soft circular and really soft breads and portions of a variety of Ethiopian dishes. I ordered a separate plate of Lamb tiffs due to non-vegetarian choices as compared to my friends. You have options of meat and non-meat combinations where you get a variety of small portions of dishes for almost the same price plus a couple of bucks extra. The food is authentic. Freshly cooked. And I can say prepared honestly. It is delicious. One main course is enough to suffice you. I will definitely be back. My first Ethiopian cuisine experience was really worth it. Try the honey Ethiopian wine too. We ended with the baklava which is again served one quantity per serving more than enough for a person. Looking forward to return. The service was great. It is a small restaurant with ten tables. So, if at all you visit when it is crowded, please don’t get frustrated with the service since the restaurant is run by a aged couple where the wife cooks and the husband manages and delivers to the customers coz the food will be totally worth your wait.

We live close by and this family owned and operated restaurant is a routine choice for our family. We have been dining here since its opening. If you’ve read previous reviews, you’ll see the food is EXCELLENT!
The quality of food is outstanding and the authenticity is unquestionable! The place is clean and the menu has many great options.
If you’re a little intimidated by a first foray trying Ethiopian food, here are some hints for this restaurant.
1. You will be treated like family. The owner (husband) runs the dining area. He’s very friendly, but a little rough around the edges. He will guide your experience and can overwhelm some first time diners.
2. Eating is intended to be communal. Order things to share and eating with your hands is expected and encouraged using the injera bread.
3. The portions are very filling, but they do cut corners on things like napkins (ironically, since you eat with your hands), very limited wine selection, and they even skimp on the A/C, so dining in the summer can sometimes be stifling.
Try it! You’ll love it, if you appreciate full authenticity for the entire experience.

If you have ever seen Ratitoulle, eating at Elsa’s will bring to mind the scene where Remy is explaining flavor combinations to Emile. This food is amazing! We had both the veggie and meat combo plates so we could try everything. With all of the bold, yet complimentary flavors, the possibilities are endless! My girls loved everything as well! Bonus!
We ate the samosas so quickly that we only got a photo of 1….the sauce was exceptionally good.

My wife and I loved this place! Food was incredible. The service was second to none. Don’t be scared if you have never had Ethiopian food before. Our waiter who might have been the owner too, took great care to make sure we knew the menu items and how to go about eating as you don’t use utensils for the combinations. We went with our 2 year old and they were very accommodating! We will be back and telling everyone about this place. Really felt like home and the food was awesome!
