OMG…My love and I had an awesome & delightfully tasty dinner for the first BUT not the last time. The crabs were cooked to perfection ( cook time and taste). There was NO meat left even from the legs ‍♀️ . Even the Falcon had a good dinner .

I’m surprised by the reviews so I decided I’d write my own. My father and I visit North Beach yearly, and this is our second time going to Abners. We stumbled upon it the first year and decided visit again this year. Just like the first year, this most recent visit was great. My dad and I both enjoyed the crab dip with the baguette (it’s so good they should probably include 2 baguettes). Also, the grilled shrimp is delicious, I should have gotten that instead of the fried shrimp (which was good too I just discovered I don’t like breaded shrimp in general, nothing wrong with the meal). The first year we went here we decided to get crabs and they were great, this most recent visit we were both feeling shrimp so that’s what we got. We usually end up spending $100 total here for two people so it is pretty pricey but we know we are paying for good food (which was filling and I had to pack the leftovers to go home because you can’t waste a good crab cake), good service and a nice atmosphere (we always try to sit outside because it’s right next to the marina – like literally next to the water). Our server Jenna was great and Jeremiah was so helpful in getting us extra refills of lemonade. Next time my father and I visit North Beach we are definitely coming back here.

Amazing food, we got the crab cake sandwich and crab balls. Bar is kind of dark could use more lighting so not in best repair. Still 100% recommend for food.

We had a good time. The pretzel with crab dip was awesome. The kids burger was good. Prices are good as well. I would make a few suggestions. 1. Have someone dedicated to greeting customers. First walking in most employees were sitting down and I had no idea who was in charge and felt totally lost.
2. Instal blinds on the deck outside since in the evening the sun shines directly on the tables so it is extremely hot.

Our first mistake was going here even though the dining room was completely empty. This food was absolutely horrible and made everyone in my party sick. First they brought out my nieces sandwich which had obvious mold on the bread. She noticed it as soon as they put the food down so how both the kitchen staff and waitresses missed this is beyond me. At that point we should’ve left but we understood that mistakes happen. Then the rest of the food came out the shrimp was over cooked, tasted like dishwater, and had white residue all over it. The waitress did take the moldy sandwich off the bill but over all the quality of food was horrendous. Safe yourself the sickness and the money and go to traders.

My husband had shrimp and mussels a few hours ago and now he can not stop throwing up and pooping. The waitress was so nice and friendly though!

I am guessing that majority of these reviews came from either staff or family members of the restaurant owner. From the time I walked in I knew I should have walked out. I took my two children for a seafood dinner after we had a great time at the beach. We ordered steamed mussels which was supposed to be in a garlic butter sauce what it tasted like the melted butter you get from popcorn. Then I ordered wings as the appetizer but the wings came with my entree. I wanted to try something different so I got the fried Rockfish that I was told I was fresh. Not only did the batter not have any flavor but the fish was chewy not flaky. I commenced to eating the fried chicken wings I had one Wing and my daughter had another, neither one of us like the taste (bland) chicken wings so instead of having the wings taken off the manager decided to charge me for the two wings I had eaten I had never in my life had this happen before. The server tried to apologize but I let her know it wasn’t her fault I still left a nice tip and went about my way but I definitely said I would tell as many people as possible do not waste your money in this establishment. I’ve been in the culinary field for over 20 years and never had such rude service and bland tasting food charged at premium price. Not to mention my Coors Light that was supposed to be from draft was flat I was too through.

Abners is an amazing seafood restaurant!! Don’t be fooled by other reviews though this place does not seem like your average crab house the food and drinks are amazing!! Not to mention the beautiful view in the outdoor seating area. while we were there, it was a deal for $24.99 per person all you can eat crabs.

We got the all you can eat crab meal and the crabs were delicious! The service was great and they brought out the crabs at a rate so we didn’t have to wait. They were cooked perfectly! I wish they also had all you can eat sides to accompany the crabs. You had to order the sides a la cart. Overall, a great meal!

We stumbled upon Abner’s today – Labor Day – and we are so glad we did! We felt immediately welcomed, choosing to sit outside because it was a beautiful day. We ordered the Cajun rockfish bites, which were grilled, moist and delicious. Next we nibbled on an order of Hush Puppies, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Finally, the pinnacle of the meal was the Ultimate Steam Pot, a delicious bargain for the number of seafood elements in it- clams, huge shrimp, mussels, snow crab legs and corn on the cob. Our water Trae took excellent care of us and we walked away happy and vowing to return again. With all of this food and a cocktail each, our bill was less than $100. Highly recommend!
