Really good “home cooking” at this family style diner. The chicken fried steak was awesome and the burger was great. Don’t let the hoagie roll throw you off!

Perfect lunch! Abel’s is an all around great place for any meal of the day! We walked in and even though it looked full we were seated right away. Service was quick, friendly and gave me the vibe of one of those old school diners were everyone knows everyone by name. Traci was fantastic. Food was SUPERB! Great flavors and not too heavy. Perfect portions. To be honest, Abel’s Diner is one of my top 3 recommendations.

We had breakfast this was our first time eating here their staff is very helpful and attentive they make you feel right at home. I had the Abels breakfast plate eggs overeasy with diner potatoes and sausage patties with a biscuit my wife had their french toast their coffee is awesome and so is their ice tea. Great breakfast. The “Denver” omelet was great. I added a couple of sausage patties to share with the table, and I ended up eating more than I was comfortable with. I was especially enthused about the potatoes, which seemed crisp and almost double-fried. Service was timely but not overbearing. I was going to deduct a point for atmosphere because the overall noise level was high enough that my hearing aids started lowering the volume, but I realized they were playing some great oldies, which kept the 5th star. A cold Saturday at 0800, and did not have to wait on a table – overall a do again.

I really don’t want to be rude, because the service was outstanding. My waiter pleasant, and I was offered a complimentary bread roll free of charge.
However the food isn’t good. I ordered the steak and shrimp medium rare. The steak was cooked right, however the quality of the meat was bad. Like it sat in a freezer for a few months before they cooked it. There was no pink center because it looked like freezer burn. The shrimp too wasn’t that good. But it’s breaded shrimp, not that hard to mess up. I think it’s just my fault tho because I ordered a steak there. A steak house, this ain’t. Also something left a god awful aftertaste.
The place caters more towards older folks. I got a “visit to grandma’s house” vibe. Which is fine, but not a staple for regular dining.

Abel’s is a great choice for comfort food. The Monterey Chicken was delicious and served hot. Service was perfect, not hovering or absent. However, I recommend a refresh of the facility, tables, & chairs. Signs of wear and tear are abundant. I will return to try some additional selections.

Nice place. Food was good. On the blander side of good.
Seated after about 20 minutes as it was pretty busy at around 10 am on Saturday morning.
Service was very friendly. Kept our drinks full. Never had to wait for more drinks. Have crayons to our kiddo.
The ingredients were fresh. Bacon was the tastiest and only think with flavor.
Potatoes were hard and dry. Could use more flavor. Similar lack to flavor for the Gravy, but the biscuits were fresh, soft.
Over all not a bad experience, I’ll continue to try new places before i settle on a regular spot in this area.

Went here for a quick dinner After work. I’ve been to this establishment many times, although I have not been there probably a five years. The food was horrible. Overpriced and not worth the servings. I had a Cobb salad, which was the most bland salad I’ve ever had. It was supposed to come with Italian dressing and I asked for ranch on the side. There was no Italian dressing., The bacon bits probably came out of a plastic bottle and tasted burnt, the lettuce was soaking in water as if it had not been drained, and the chicken was dry. My partner got a meal that was almost $20 and the serving was ridiculously small. I am guessing since the original Owners have sold the place, the food is not the same at all.
