The food at Abby’s was amazing. Our server was truly incredible, so sweet, kind, and helpful throughout the meal. You could tell she really cared. The Cobb salad was to die for, loaded with fresh toppings and tons of flavor. I definitely recommend it. The BLT was just as good. They do not skimp on the bacon and everything was cooked perfectly. The only picture I got was of my kid’s burger and plain potato on the side, but trust me, everything was delicious. The whole experience was great from start to finish. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Came by on a weekday for lunch and can generally say I had a good time. Service was very solid and the food was also decent. My grilled chicken sandwich came with a good sized piece of chicken on it, but the soup (I think it was a beef and broccoli soup) was rather lackluster and I would advise against getting it.

I had heard great reviews about this restaurant, but when we went there last Friday, the food wasnt all that great. When the food came out, it was cold, the soup had no flavor, an the chilli was not edible. You could tell they were short staffed, an the 2 waitresses (no seat in the house-entire restaurant with zero help)- they were the Rockstars!- good job ladies!!

Very sweet restaurant with a cozy feel. The food was delicious. We ordered mozzarella sticks, the French dip, the fried chicken sub, and a grilled cheese. Everything was good! Would definitely recommend!

We’ve tried this place maybe 3-4 times since moving here. I believe the reviews reflect mostly older regulars as the food might be comparable to a K&W Cafeteria. My son and I stopped in to see if they had any fried chicken and give it another try since the other times we’ve tried eating here were not that great and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they are short handed. It has never been poor service, always poor food. I was told they only serve fried chicken on Sundays. So my son got the French dip…big mistake. Not sure what that was but it definitely isn’t fresh sliced daily meat that was described as a response to another complaint about it. They also said they sell 100’s of sandwiches daily. The seating availability states otherwise. I ordered the fried chicken salad. They brought out some type of sub with fries. We ordered the potato skins with no bacon. those tasted like sadness to me but I was so hungry I put a ton of salt on them and devoured them. I asked for the bill before they could bring out the correct order for me so I’m not able to comment on that order. Look at the picture, does that look like au jus sauce for French dip? don’t know what it was but it tasted like water and had some kind of sediment floating in it. Those are regular fries but their grease hasn’t been changed in so long they look like sweet potato fries.
All I can say is that the defensive responses to the honest negative reviews speaks miles, so I’ll just kick back and wait for their defensive response to my review.

They serve excellent homemade food and the lunch specials are always good. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. There are only a few parking spaces out front but lots of room to park behind the building.

Loved the meatloaf lunch special they had today! They literally served it within 10 minutes! Great home cooked food in a local bar atmosphere. Pool tables and vintage Virginia licenses plates with catchy letters. My kinda place, and happy to have found it.
