I’ve been to many bagel shops over the years, and I value professionalism just as much as the food itself. Unfortunately, my recent experience here was disappointing — not because of the bagel, but because of the behavior of one of the employees.
While placing my order, I noticed one of the staff members speaking in Spanish to a coworker while clearly referring to me. What made this uncomfortable was that she also spoke clear English when interacting with customers, so it was obvious she was choosing to switch languages while discussing me in front of me. Regardless of the language being used, it’s inappropriate to talk about a customer within earshot in a way that feels dismissive or disrespectful.
I don’t care what language someone speaks — that’s not the issue. The issue is professionalism. Customers should feel welcome and respected, not like they’re being talked about or judged while standing at the counter. It creates an awkward and unprofessional atmosphere.
The bagel itself was average, but the experience left a bad impression. A business can have decent food, but if the service feels disrespectful, people will remember that more than anything else. I hope management addresses this and reminds staff that basic courtesy goes a long way.

Just your typical deli. The bagels are very fresh and made in house. The bacon egg n cheese sandwiches are loaded with bacon. The bagel selection is really good and a lot of unique bagels like the French toast bagel and the bacon egg n cheese bagel. The staff has always welcomed me every time I have stopped by. I wish pricing was better but everything in life is expensive nowadays.

Very cool bagel shop and deli. Must have drove past it a million times didn’t know it was there. But i think I’ll be a regular now. Great warm, soft bagels, the perfect bagel for a sandwich or cream cheese. Great big muffins, very fresh. Good prices. Thanks for the food, everyone
Notes on the location: the shop is inside the corner section of the very small mall. There’s an atrium that connects the stores so there’s tables to eat at in the deli and in the closed atrium/foyer.

We LOVE this place. The bagels are delicious, the chicken cutlets are off the charts, and the staff is great. We go here after every Lakeland XC race. It’s been a cherished tradition for years and the food has never been short of exceptional. We get the bagel egg and cheese, lox & loaded, and a container of cutlets for the week (makes dinner so much easier). Big thanks to the entire crew for making our Sundays so special!

I’ve alway enjoy the food here and order from them a lot, but at my last visit the worker making my food didn’t use gloves. Then as he was making my sandwich, he walked over to the register to wait on someone else and handled filthy money then went back to making my food without washing his hands or putting on gloves. Very unhygienic. I was so grossed out I just threw my sandwich away. I’ve worked in food service before and know gloves should be worn when making ready to eat foods. Other employees were wearing their gloves when making sandwiches, just not the one making my food, unfortunately.

Today I visited this bakery and was disappointed to see that the bread was left out without any protection and covered with flies. I find this to be a serious lack of hygiene and respect toward customers. A very unpleasant experience.
I understand that it’s not always easy to keep everything perfect, but cleanliness in food handling is essential. I truly hope they take steps to improve this, because presentation and hygiene are just as important as the product itself.

I went to get a bagel and got a very bad impression. The man and the rest of the staff were handling the food without gloves or any kind of protection. I find it unhygienic and unprofessional, especially for a place that serves food. Cleanliness and safety measures are essential; I hope they can improve this aspect.

I like this and the Morris Plains location. My only concern is every time I see my Taylor Ham, egg and cheese prepared in the back, the cook/helper is never wearing gloves. Please have a talk with the staff about heath safety. Thank you.

There is an older man in the front counter rubbing his face, hair and wiping his nose with a white towel while touching your bagels when they come out of the toaster. How disgusting and unsanitary. I threw the bagels right in the garbage not worth getting sick.
