Decent Indian food option in the Snoqualmie falls area. The restaurant is a little congested, but the hosts are friendly and offer some very good tasting food. The spice levels are kid friendly. There is a decent variety of food options to choose from. The serving quantities were not the best you can get for the price, but given the location and limited Indian food options in the area – I wouldnt complain. The service in this location has an opportunity to improve. Probably they get a little carried away during rush. I’d still recommend this place, and would stop by for another visit.

If I could give this place 6 or 7 stars I would. This is hands down the best Indian Restaurant we have ever eaten at.

We loved the dosa, buttered chicken, and I got the super spicy varutyakari. So good!!! . All the food is exploding with flavor. They have a great balance of fat, acid, and salt. Oh, and the little bowl of soup you get to start the meal is delicious.

Amazing family owned restaurant tucked away in this small town. If you like flavorful food this place is a must try.

We stopped by Aahar and absolutely loved it! The place is super clean, cozy, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Service was quick, and everyone had a smile on their face.

We tried the dosas and their fried idli — both were seriously amazing! Everything was full of flavor and tasted super fresh. You can tell they put real care into the food.

Overall, just an awesome spot with great vibes, tasty food, and top-notch service. Definitely a new favorite — can’t wait to go back!

Overall, Aahaar is a hidden gem in Snoqualmie — easily one of the best South Indian restaurants on the Eastside. Whether you’re craving southern Indian food or classic tiffins like idly and dosa, this place will not disappoint. I’ll definitely be coming back soon to try more dishes from their menu!

The staff was polite and attentive, and the service was quick even during the busy hours. The restaurant is clean, well-lit, and family-friendly, with a cozy South Indian vibe.

Full trout fish fry and Karuvepaky Kodi vepudu were both awesome. Had a scrumptious lunch with the family. And don’t miss the Moksha dessert at the end. It was second time, but highly recommend! Love it

Revisited Aahar after 8 years hoping to relive the same high, but left disappointed.

We were a group of four and tried the following:
• Idly Vadai ($12): Disappointing. The idly was not soft and seemed like it had been sitting for a while. The vadai was overly oily, and the sambar lacked depth. For the price, we expected better quality and portion size.
• Caulifry: Essentially bland cauliflower fritters coated in besan. No salt, no spic definitely not Manchurian-style as one might expect. It felt like an unfinished dish.
• Dosa Rolls: A twist on classic dosa that didn’t quite work. The filling was basic potato with some cheese, but the dosa itself lacked crispiness and flavor. The curry dip on the side was a complete miss—flat and tasteless.
• Kaikari Kurma: The saving grace. Rich coconut flavor and served with rice this was the one dish that stood out for the right reasons.
• Flaky Parotta: Loved this! Perfectly flaky and well-made. No complaints here.
• Moksha (Dessert): Presentation didn’t match the menu description. The almonds had a musty, possibly rancid taste seems like they weren’t fresh. Also, it was missing the vanilla ice cream that was mentioned.

Overall, I left feeling quite let down. Aahar used to be a favorite, but it seems to have lost its charm over the years. Hoping they revisit their roots and bring back the quality they were once known for.

The food is fabulous, atmosphere is relaxing and the service is excellent. My absolute favorite is the Butter Chicken along with the Samosas. The Cranberry dipping sauce is delicious! Highly recommend. The Chicken Tikka Masala is excellent as well.

We had a mixed experience at this restaurant. The ambience was nice and welcoming, and the staff were attentive and friendly, which was a big plus.

Food was average..we tried two types of biryani – Amara chicken and regular chicken, but both were below average in terms of flavor. It wasnt made in traditional style so lacked the flavor and spices. In appetizers, the fish fry was delicious.
However, the paneer curry I ordered was overly sweet, with a noticeable amount of food coloring. Despite these, I plan to return and try other vegetarian options esp. dosas hoping they will be better.

Aahar Indian Eatery offers bold, authentic South Indian flavors in a casual setting. The Amar Chicken Biryani is aromatic, well-spiced, and packed with tender chicken, making it a standout dish. The Karvepaku Karam Chicken is rich, spicy, and bursting with flavor, perfect for those who enjoy a kick. Generous portions and great taste make this spot a go-to for hearty, satisfying Indian meals with a unique twist.
