The service was good and attentive without being intrusive. The staff was polite and helpful, and the food was served in a timely manner. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and hygienic, which added to the overall positive experience.
Overall, it’s a great place for a satisfying South Indian meal with good portions, quality food, and a comfortable dining environment. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
This time Kysior was our waiter and he was doing his job wonderfully!
We’ve ordered South Indian rally, five flavors of uttapam set, three colored paneer, french fries, mango lassi, masala chai and chocolate semolina pudding with vanilla ice cream. Every single thing was delicious!
Highly recommending to try this place!
The ambiance is very beautiful and peaceful, and the service, while a bit slow, is really warm and genuinely beautiful. You can tell they focus more on quality than rushing.
Overall, a really, really beautiful experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others.
I usually go for the masala dosa or the mini tiffin, and both are consistently good — crispy on the outside, soft inside, with tasty potato filling and flavorful chutneys. Their thalis are a great deal if you want to try a little of everything, and the food comes out hot and fresh. Prices are fair for the portion sizes, though it can feel a bit pricey if you’re just grabbing a quick bite. Service is usually fast, but it can get slow on busy weekends when the place is packed. Still, for reliable, tasty vegetarian Indian food in central NJ, A2B is a solid choice.
We didn’t really know what to order. The only negative is that the service isn’t very friendly. We got samosas, a mushroom curry, and thali. We really enjoyed everything but next time will come with our Indian friends so they can order for us. The thali is a cool dish so you can try a bunch of dishes – I didn’t know what I was eating. Ha.
We have gotten paneer, spring rolls, and noodles as well to try but the only decent one was noodle. Still wouldn’t reccomend any of these and just stick to south options.
This place is pretty expensive actually. For 3 people our bill was 100 with 2 apps and 3 entrees. Their apps are quite over priced and have small quantity. Entrees are around 15-20. We don’t get drinks or desserts and pay in cash and still pretty high bill. Unfortunately, the atmosphere doesn’t match the price. It’s generally very loud and over crowded since they try to fit as many people as they can inside. The service is just regular with someone to take your order. You wouldn’t think it’s that expensive based on the appearance. I still give it 5 star since the food is good and I come back here and don’t really go places just for atmosphere.
We tried the thali and chole bature, and both were outstanding. The thali had an excellent variety with authentic flavors in every item — perfectly balanced, fresh, and very satisfying. The chole bature was equally impressive, with fluffy bature and richly spiced chole that tasted just like home-style comfort food.
What truly elevated the experience was the service. A special mention to Kiyas, who took great care of our order. He was attentive, courteous, and ensured everything was served promptly and exactly as requested. Service like this genuinely makes dining more enjoyable.
From taste to ambience to service, A2B continues to be a consistent five-star experience for us. Clean environment, great food quality, and warm hospitality — we always leave happy and looking forward to the next visit.
Despite this, we were directed to a table meant for four. Given that we had kids and needed a little extra space for comfort, we politely asked if we could be seated at a slightly larger table. The staff immediately refused and told us that it is their “normal policy” not to combine tables or add an extra chair to a 4-top.
We respectfully explained that space would be tight, especially with children, and asked again if an accommodation could be made since the restaurant was almost empty. The response we received was even more surprising — we were told that if we wanted a larger table, we would have to pay for the empty chairs.
I have dined at countless restaurants and have never encountered a policy requiring customers to pay for unused seats simply to sit comfortably — especially when the establishment is not busy. The tone of the interaction was dismissive and unwelcoming. There was no effort made to accommodate us or even offer an alternative solution.
Hospitality is about flexibility and customer experience. Instead, we were met with rigidity and poor service. As a result, we chose to leave and take our business elsewhere.
It’s unfortunate because we were looking forward to dining here, but the lack of basic accommodation and courtesy left a very negative impression. I hope management reviews both their seating policy and the way guests — particularly families — are treated.
