I’m PD – short for Pragati Darling, a nickname from my Mumbai days that stuck. I opened Last Call because the East Village needed a place that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Somewhere you can grab a burger and a pitcher of margaritas on a Tuesday, dance the night away on a Saturday, or catch drag brunch on a Sunday. The menu is simple: burgers, fried things, a few pastas. You’ll notice some Mumbai in there – curry mayo, tamarind margaritas, masala on the fries. That’s just how I cook. Most nights you’ll find me on the floor. This isn’t just my restaurant – it’s my living room. And you’re invited.

Laid-back restaurant with artworks and patio, furnishing alcohol, charcuterie, and traditional bites.

Congratulations to the new ownership! I went for the soft opening and had such a fun time. Great cocktails, I tried the “Up all Night” and later enjoyed “Ponyo.” For appetizers we sampled several varieties and also ordered a pasta and chicken entrees, everything was delicious! Lively, very neighborly vibe and I do look forward to returning in my next trip to NYC.

Had a happy hour pitcher of margarita here this evening with my boyfriend. It was okay. We paid the $6 extra for passionfruit, making it $35 total. Hardly any passionfruit flavor, except at the very bottom. An insane amount of ice. Poured just under two drinks each. Definitely not sure on the value.

The wings were okay according to my boyfriend. $9 for 7 small wings.

Now to the reason for one star. We were charged a 20 percent auto-gratuity. For a table of two… Knowing the laws in NYC, I checked all of the menus (photos provided), and the outside of the restaurant to see whether this was posted anywhere. It wasn’t. We weren’t verbally informed of this when we ordered either. Which is illegal.

Secondly, if you check the bottom of the receipt (posted), it states suggested gratuity… Which is around 20 percent. 20 percent on the total, including the already included gratuity!!! So essentially, they are asking for a 40 percent tip… Absolutely insane! I read my receipts very carefully, so I saw the auto-gratuity, and i saw their extremely unethical practice of listing another gratuity. Ignoring the auto-gratuity. When an auto-gratuity is added (usually 18 percent on parties of five or more), the receipt will include an “additional’ gratuity option. If you’d like to add 2 percent, 4 percent etc, you are welcome to. However, asking for an additional tip at the full 20 percent amount, making it a 40 percent tip is absolutely not okay! If someone had been drinking, or was on a date and not paying attention to the receipt, or a group of friends split the check, not knowing there was already a 20 percent gratuity already added, they would likely end up tipping 40 percent accidentally because of how insanely illegal and unethical this restaurant is being on their receipts.

So I would be incredibly careful before visiting this location. As stated, charging an auto-gratuity for two people is incredibly shading to start with. This isn’t Times Square, it’s the East Village, and given that this information is not listed anywhere, and is not provided verbally, it’s not just shady, it’s straight up illegal. You’ve been warned!

TLDR; incredible cocktails, awesome food, stellar service, and cute vibes. very generous happy hour hours.

we stumbled upon this place looking for a last-minute dinner before a show, and were so pleasantly surprised. The cocktails were amazing and reasonably priced. we got burgers and the fried chicken sandwich, both of which were great. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. our server was amazing, didn’t write anything down, but made no mistakes and was super quick.

wish I lived closer so I could luxuriate on the patio with delicious cocktails.
(the Blackberry Bangkok and the Dark Horse were amazing. real fruit puree and well balanced.)

This place had great reviews on google which is why my friends and I decided to go on a Friday night. I got 2 martinis that were $16 each, and they were half full. So I essentially paid $32 for a martini. I then ordered a house salad with grilled chicken, and the waiter came out to me and said they ran out of house salad (it was a Friday night at 7:30pm). I replaced it with a chicken caesar salad that I could have easily made myself. We ordered the calamari and burrata for appetizers which were the best part of the meal. I also tried the fries that my friend got with his burger and they had no salt on them. I definitely saw the potential of this place’s atmosphere, but with the prices of the food and drinks, I would choose a different spot next time.

As long as Likkle Ms. Twilight is on the bar, then you will have a good time. A friend of mine and I came over on a Saturday night for happy hour. The food, service, and drinks were phenomenal. I had a lemon drop pitcher with passion fruit, watermelon, and oysters. It’s Litt! Good Vibes, Good Drinks, Good Food, Good Energy. A10 will never disappoint.

This spot is fully underrated!! Fun, laid back spot for some of the best drinks in NYC and the food never misses. The entire team is fun and energetic. You can tell they care about your experience. They also got the best happy hour specials.

Been coming to A10 for happy hour for a while now but they recently raised their prices which was disappointing. Besides that, they have a really nice outdoor seating that doesn’t feel like you’re right on Avenue A with nice booths and heating in the winter. They are also pretty accommodating for groups of 6 or so. The most recent time I went it was 80 F in the city so it was really busy and they gave us a time limit. I recommend if it’s warm to make a reservation so you have a better chance of getting in with no time limit. The food specials for happy hour are pretty good and taste really good. The burger used to be $10 and is now $12 which is sad. Everything is going up. Overall, pretty good drinks and food. Not too strong though for the pitchers.

Had a great night here in early April. Sat at the bar, superb service from Grace and Florian and they were so personable – making conversation and chatting to them all night. I definitely made the most of the $7 Happy Hour Spicy Margaritas, so much so that I probably should have gone for the $21 pitcher while my husband drank beer. We didn’t really eat – other than gorgeous pretzel bites – but the food that other people ordered looked really good. It was the first night of our trip and a great way to start. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing happy hour but be prepared to wait. The mojito (5/5) which was only $6 was extremely strong and had wonderful flavor. The Mac n cheese (5/5) is heavenly for only $5. The pretzel bites (4/5) while good were not worth the $10 with the cheese. I’d pass and get the Mac n cheese next time.

Decent burger. Can definitely get better in the area. Wouldn’t come back for food, but chill spot to sit outside on a busy street for a couple beers.
