That said, I do have some mixed feelings about their pricing. While the food is solid, I can’t help but feel like the prices aren’t totally justified. For instance, they charge $1 extra for marinara sauce, and another $1 for a small cup of parmesan cheese to go. Why pay for something I could easily grab off the table for free when I’m dining in? It feels a bit nickel-and-dime-y.
The fries are good, but again, I’m left questioning if the $6 price for the portion size is really worth it.
Overall, A Little Touch of Italy has good food and it’s a convenient spot, but the pricing strategy doesn’t sit quite right with me. It’s definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to for the food, but it would be nice if they rethought a few of their charges.
Anna at the Touch of Italy- family business, in Baldwin is absolutely outstanding. I want to sincerely thank Anna for supporting our Women Veterans Only Listening Forum on October 2, 2025 — a truly historic night. She generously contributed to our menu, and every guest raved about the delicious penne alla vodka and garlic knots.
What touched me most was not just the food (which was phenomenal), but Anna’s willingness to take the time to listen to our cause and lean in with compassion. She did exactly what I asked of her: to help honor our women veterans and to stand with us in the healing process.
As we say, healing begins when we listen, respond, and rebuild together. Anna, you made your presence known, not only by responding but by helping us rebuild — starting with the nourishment of our bodies.
Thank you for caring, Anna. You’re the best!
The roasted garlic pasta is a must try as well as their delicious pizzas. Next time I will ask them to do the sausage one without peppers, onions and mushroom, as I found it better this way but honestly, it’s delicious regardless, it’s only a matter of taste.
Also the fish on a bed of spinach was great, and this is coming from a girl who hates eating fish outside (besides sushi) if it’s not Caribbean or African like seasoned.
Can’t wait to come back and discover more.
The appetiser choice of the evening was crispy, battered & fried calamari served with a spicy (tailored to my desired heat index) Fra Diavolo/ Ariabiatta sauce. Haven’t had this in a while and tonight it did everything to dazzle my palate! The calamari was crispy, perfectly seasoned, hot, well plated and purely delicious! It did not disappear!
Ordered the homemade lasagna and it was yo die for. Bubbly. Melting cheese, perfectly cooked noodles, superbly layered with meat & ricotta perfection! A truly excellent selection this was.
My other entré to sample was my all time favourite, broiled salmon with tons of garlic over a bed of spinach. The salmon was perfectly cooked and still very tender (no dry, husky spots!), the garlic some crispy, some tender lending to pure deliciousness permeating the salmon. The spinach was perfectly cooked and bright green, (not muddy or over cooked ).
The side accompanying this delicious feast was whole wheat spaghetti tossed with garlic and olive oil. The pasta was cooked perfectly aldenté, the garlic was toasted, tender & nutty, the olive oil thick & luscious. This in one of my favourite sides and beverages fails to satisfy my cravings.
Once again, Touch Of Italy located in Baldwin, NY continues to be one of my local favourite joints. The meals are freshly prepared, well presented & plated, plus the staff is super friendly & professional. The servings are generous & the joint is even wheel chair accessible! The ambiance is old world charm mixed with modern. Do ask for my fave girl Anna and she’ll certainly do right by you! I’ve never had a bad meal yet!
