Stopped by Romo Cafe in Hayward on a Sunday around 10am no line and quick service. The back patio had a few parties, light music, and a relaxed vibe, plus it’s dog-friendly. One croissant sandwich and two café de olla for about $20. Great spot for a calm morning.

Google lead me here and I absolutely love it. The people here are so nice. Ordered the veggie sandwich and iced latte. AMAZING ! While I was waiting they gave me a sample of the chia pudding. I cannot believe I never knew about this cafe when I lived nearby. Just discovered it today and will definitely be back! The BLT and Chipotle Chicken sandwiches were delicious & filling – generous portions of crispy bacon, lots of spring mix to be healthy and the French bread was beautifully warm and toasted. Limonada mineral just like we had in Mexico, and the Cafe de olla is a must try! The ladies were super sweet and gave us a sample of their chia pudding which was also delicious and I’ll be ordering a bowl for breakfast next time I come. This place is easy to miss as it doesn’t look like much from the front and the interior is small, but then there is a nice back patio with about 10 tables of various sizes including a huge communal table that can seat about ten people. The decor transported me back to our visits to Mexico. Love love love!

Such a gem!! You must try the cafe de olla along with the chia pudding- amazing! We inhaled the baguette sandwiches so you already know those were so good. I loved the outside seating area where you can soak up the sun and slow down while you enjoy some delicious food. We will need to stop here every time we’re in the area. The owner is the sweetest and will check in to see if you’re fully enjoying your meal + cafécito ❤️

Cozy cute little Cafe.☺ Family and women owned. Come support! They have a great menu and prices! Customer service is awesome, and the space is very clean, a huge plus. Everything I’ve tried so far has been mouthwatering delicious. Can’t wait to try everything now. Lol… If you’re in the area, it’s great to eat, get some work done, relax and/or read a book. They also have an upstairs area for group meetings which is another plus.

I ordered 3 crepes, and one of them had a hair baked right into the batter. They refused to refund me for that crepe, explaining that my 5-year-old son had already eaten half of it. I did not expect such an outcome — it’s just a nightmare. I do not recommend this place.

I just went in to order a latte to go and they gave me a mini serving of chia pudding (made with coconut milk) topped with homemade granola, berries and honey. So amazing! Don’t let the street view fool you, this place is lovely in every way inside.
