The food was delicious. I had the Italian Sausage, Peppers and Ricotta Cheese omelette. It was outstanding. The staff were friendly but the service was quite bad. After bringing the food out the waitress didn’t come by even once to see if we needed anything. She didn’t refill the coffees either. It’s sad that a place that makes such delicious food has such bad service.

This is a smaller eatery with lots of character and great service. I had breakfast and ordered the biscuits with sausage gravy and 2 lightly scrambled eggs, also smothered in the sausage gravy. Ordered, blinked, and my food was served, impressive for a small eatery. Great biscuits and sausage gravy and the eggs were cooked perfect. I also ordered home fries with onions which tasted great and were also cooked to perfection, I loved seeing the onions cooked well as in, some were even burnt, the way they’re supposed to be. Stop by if you get a chance, you’ll feel right at home.

Atmosphere: From the paper
menus that had been soaked with water and dried, to the tables and chairs that have been around since the 80’s it was obvious not much care is given to comfort. Didn’t feel very welcome by what had to be a regular customer as I was stared down by a guy for 10 minutes before he left. Our waitress complained about having to work 3 jobs
because “Nobody tips good”.
When a meal is $4-$6 you
shouldn’t expect a $4 tip, our bill was $16, tip should’ve been about $3 we left $4.
Food: I ordered the mushroom
and cheese omelet, my wife
ordered the bacon and cheese omelet and we ordered a side of bacon to share. Omelets were full of processed white American cheese, mushrooms were rubbery and from a can. The bacon was that paper thin
microwaveable garbage and was dry, most likely sitting in a bin for awhile (| did not smell bacon being cooked even though we sat next to the kitchen area). The potatoes were burnt black on one side and almost raw on the other side. No amount of salt or ketchup helped.
Prices: Prices were very good.
I don’t plan on returning, but in the event of Hell freezing over, I’ll skip the food and try the coffee, I hear it isn’t too bad.

I couldn’t write a review without selecting a star. That being said the one star would only be for the cook. My daughter and wanted to try some place different. So been there/done that! Never again. Very unfriendly atmosphere. Extremely slow service and not because they were busy! We finally got coffee but no menu’s. Finally we got menus. From the time we walked in until we got our food was at least 30 minutes. Again they were NOT busy! Customers that came in about 20 minutes after us got their food at the same time. The waitress was busy walking around the restaurant texting on her phone. She had zero personality. To top it all off she added a $1 to the bill because apparently she doesn’t know how to add – $10 + $11 = $21 not $22. Needless to say that all = 0 tip.
At least the food was good. So if anything I might consider ordering to go but never eat in!

My friend & I try different spots each week for breakfast and this is the worst! It’s the service & waitress. She literally yelled at me when I asked where my breakfast was as my friend received hers and was almost finished. No one should be treated this way. And then she went across the room to check and yelled again so everyone in the place heard her. I was surprised they would keep staff like that but apparently it’s a family member. I can’t even tell you what the food was like, as I was pretty upset. I have never written a review before but this time I could not ignore this treatment. Horrible place.

A couple of the guys I work with invited me to have breakfast here. I have to say… What a great breakfast! All for a price that was reasonable. I really can’t wait to go again. I’m going to go on a Thursday or Friday so I can try the biscuits and gravy. Great service. This place is unassuming so unless you are looking for it you might miss it. Torrington’s best kept secret.

Food was delicious atmosphere terrible. Will never eat here again. Word of advice if you eat here be here before 10. Turned away customers at 11:50. Advertised as open until 12. Maybe they’re great to other customers, because myself and the two turned away were of color. If you want to be out by 12, maybe close at 11, so you can treat your customers better.

Placed a order on a busy Sunday morning to take out. The servers where pleasant and the inside of the eatery reminds you of the old mom and pop breakfast joints you just can’t find anymore. The food is excellent. The omelette I got was seasoned perfectly and the home fries are to die for. Definitely recommend A C’s to anyone and everyone looking for that homestyle feel.

We just went here for lunch. The waitress was nice until we left because the food was awful. My daughter gagged because the chicken salad was spoiled. They used turkey roll not breast for my club. It was wet and squishy. We couldn’t eat anything at all. I paid for the sodas. The waitress kept my change and just walked away after arguing a bit about the turkey being real turkey lol. Do NOT eat here unless you enjoy poor quality food.
