Social Profile:

In 1929, Nicola Panara started baking soft pretzels in the basement of his South Philadelphia home. The tradition of selling soft pretzels on street corners was born and so was our bakery. Now located in New Jersey four generations later, we use the same recipe, quality, and love in our products that we did over 90 years ago. Our pretzels were dairy, egg, soy, nut, and preservative FREE long before it became a movement. We are now proud to introduce GLUTEN FREE soft pretzels! Come visit us and taste THE ORIGINAL Philly Soft Pretzel!

Bomdiggity Dhaba
Stopped in to get a wiff of yeasty baked goodness and to purchase some soft pretzels, of course. I was not disappointed. The shop is clean, orderly and inviting. The staff is friendly – including the owner, who was polite enough to answer my questions around the history of the shop. My choices were: Cute little Bavarian Style soft pretzels and 5 of the flagship soft pretzels. I’ve had these soft pretzels recently and all I can say is, “gitchya self some!”
Thank you for the great service, conversation and these ‘bomdiggity’ pretzels!

I have been to A&A a few times and have always loved it. I recently ordered two Gluten Free pretzel shaped hearts for Valentine’s Day and their customer service is just off the charts 10/10! I love their GF pretzels and their regular ones as well! Will definitely be back soon! Highly recommend!!

Nice family pretzel business. Typical soft pretzel is more of a traditional style. Bland at first bite, but I noticed some flavor come through. Salty, crunchy, and enjoyable. The young lady at the counter was very kind and welcoming. Next time, I will try the pork roll pretzel!

Drove from Glenolden to the bakery. It’s only a few miles but takes about 30 minutes. My Lady has never had a gluten-free soft pretzel. She tried a regular one when she was young but because she has celiac disease got violently ill.
The staff was amazing as it was almost closing time. They took care of us even though the young girl was stunned by the fact that my lady’s never had a soft pretzel. The gentleman that was there name begins with an A, Was top notch.
Now for the review of the soft pretzel I grew up in in the Philadelphia Ridley township area and these gluten-free pretzels, although smaller are just as good as the original. They ship so we will be ordering from Florida. And thanks to my military service, I’m not allowed to drink and I’m not supposed to have gluten. The bakery saved me one of my two favorite things.
Even if you don’t have celiac disease, these pretzels are on point point. You got to give them a try.

A&A makes the best Gluten Free Soft pretzels I’ve ever had. Every single time I order them, I’m shocked by how incredible they are!! It is so easy to order online in advance and pick up. We also love their homemade mustards – the Sriracha Honey and Parmesan Mustard are our favorites!

Fantastic Philly classic pretzel shop… just like my grandfather use to to take me to when I was young. This shop opened its doors in 1929 and they have excellent customer service.

We tried the Gluten free rolls and they were very disappointing. The roll is made from their pretzel dough and makes the toll super dense and the size of the
roll is for a toddler and you cant even fit a regular size hot dog on it. Then if that isnt bad enough, they charge $3 a roll

Saw the great reviews and tried this place out today. Got the plain, everything, and cinnamon pretzel and they tasted great but were cold.

I came at noon, and I’m not sure if it’s the gluten free aspect, but I definitely expected them to be made fresh or at least be under a warmer. I think they would be amazing fresh.

Amazing! I have celiacs so I ordered gf pretzel buns and dippers for my baby shower. Not only were they delicious but they made some of the dippers in the shape of baby bottles! Everyone at the shower couldn’t believe that they were gluten free because they were so delicious! They also have the sweetest staff. I cannot recommend them enough!
