My In-Law’s love Bubba’s Love Shack, and bring us here every time we come to visit. The food is great. They often have live music when we come to eat.
The downsides are: the restrooms are in J. Peters next door, but it is a short distance, and no longer than a typical walk. They also do not take reservations, which can be rough because they can get busy. 🙂

We stopped in Saturday for lunch and it was delicious. The service was great and they have great views, either dining inside, or outside. Great place to have a delicious meal and sit and people watch. I had one of the best club sandwiches and their fries had great seasoning

Great view on the MarshWalk! Super cute little place. Kinda pricey – 1 coke & 2 mich ultra drafts was $14.50. Second round was half of that since it was happy hour! Didn’t eat, was just a quick stop, but the food looked great. Service was quick & the Bartender was nice.

Such a cute little spot, with some pretty views. It’s quite interesting, as they use the grill & menu from the restaurant next to em (currently J Peter’s Grill & Bar), but either way, it was a great experience, great food, & pretty views to help the mood.

What a surprise!
We have been coming to the marshwalk area since I was a child, and I’m now almost 60. We have our favorites, and we tend to get into a groove. But, last week we were in Garden City Beach and it snowed! Not a little bit of snow. Actual New-England-type-snow. But, since we have lived in New England at some point in our lives, we knew how to drive in the white stuff. The problem was finding anything open. We were surprised and thrilled to see the Bubba‘s Love Shak red ‘open’ sign was lit!
We were also surprised that when we entered, there was a roaring fire. I pulled up a chair next to the fire and never left. The server came and delivered our drinks and our food, and I just ate my shrimp on my lap.
The final surprise was in the quality of the food. Wow! The house salad, which comes with a house dressing that is equal parts honey mustard and a hot bacon, was outstanding. It was really large, and when I poured both dressings on and mixed them together it was one of the best salads I have had in years! I ordered the fried shrimp special which came with the house salad and a side, and I chose the mashed potatoes. They were “OK” and were the only little bit of disappointment in the meal, because I’ve had more flavorful mashed potatoes. But the salad and the shrimp more than made up for it! Next time I’ll just choose a different side. My husband had a fish sandwich. He also found it flavorful and it was a nice-sized portion.
And our server… Our server was attentive, funny, always looking to see if we needed another drink or anything else. I really wish I remember her name, as she was just delightful.
Bottom line, we will be back! We have an entire list of places we go on the marshwalk, and this will now be at the top. Cannot wait to introduce our friends to this restaurant, because we have been basically stuck in a loop of going to the same ones year over year.
The only other disappointment was that they had to close the bar, and I was craving one more wonderful rum punch next to the fireside, but it was getting slick outside, and I am just so thankful that they opened at all and allowed a few of the locals to come in and enjoy a respite from the snow and weather.
Also, I had never seen the Marshwalk in the snow, so there are some photos attached here. It was lovely!

We were there on St Patty’s day and had a blast. Great music. One band left and another followed right behind. The service was awesome. I was surprised because it was packed. Our waitress did a great job tending to us. I wish we didn’t eat beforehand because we only had a quesadilla which was delicious. But there were a lot of good looking dishes passing by.

Bravo! Bravis! The energy was awesome from the front door to the table. Ally, our host and server, 5 Stars! She had her ” A Game ” on the whole night. She always had a smile on her face as she approached the table, knew how to consolidate her steps, described the preparation of the items on the menu instead of defining them, and kept the table manicured. Yes, I worked in the bar & restaurant industry in ATL for 23 years. She is the Host & Entertainer we will ask for when we return. The steak fajita was delicious. The steak was seasoned and juicy, not dried out. Their Prime Rib, mashed potatoes, and collard greens are breakfast this morning. The decorum was kept clean and showed pride was taken in their establishment. Matt Parker & the Deacons was icing on the cake! Awesome original music and great covers. Bubba’s would be a great location for parties. Thank you and look forward to dining with you again. Happy Thanksgiving!
