The wife & I came here because we got rained out at another location. Best thing that could have happened. I had the butter chicken with garlic naan, & she had chicken madras with garlic naan. It was happy hour so we also had Old Fashioned . The drinks and meal was off the chart great. We couldn’t understand how this place wasn’t just packed. Eric the bartender was also our waiter because he spoke English. In all the different places we’ve eaten Indian cuisine, we both agreed this was the best Indian meal we’ve had.

Went twice and never again. The first time was a couple of months ago and everything tasted great. Service was amazing. (Must’ve been because the owner was not there.)
The second time was recently, on Valentine’s Day, and we made a reservation for 6:50pm in advance. When we got there, we got told they had a buffet that day that was 38000crc per couple, and since we expected to get à la carte, we said we would think about it. Hearing that, they offered to make an exception and, five minutes after giving us the menus, the owner came to our table and went on a tirade about how rude we were being when there is a reservation after ours, telling us to order faster because they were so kind as to offer us their usual menu. That quickly got rid of the whole table’s appetite. We decided to look past it since it’s Valentine’s Day and we went out of our way to make a reservation. Plus, the food was great the last time I went.
In retrospect, we should have just left when we got the chance earlier. The butter chicken was dry and the naan was so hard, everyone in my table struggled to eat it. Mind you, the dinner was to treat our elderly grandmother.
I would not recommend this place. The owner does not deserve your hard earned money.

Amazing!! The best Indian food we’ve had. The flavour is so amazing. I love spicy and the Vindaloo never disappoints. It’s very very spicy(how I like it), and so much flavour with every bite. We have been several times and have loved every dish every time.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! The Peacock decor is what made me stop here! The food was very tasty and well seasoned! The mango frozen drink was absolutely delicious. Nothing on the menu is overly spicy. Good authentic flavors, no shortcuts! Would absolutely come here again when visiting this area! The staff was beyond accommodating!

We eat Indian food often. The tastes here were different (at least for the dishes we had). For example, we expected butter chicken to be made with dark meat. This could be a good or bad thing for you. We liked that they made dishes spicy when you ask for spicy and the service was great.

It is one of the amazing Indian restaurants. The ambiance, service, and food were excellent. The owner was friendly, and we had a good conversation. It is definitely on the expensive side, but I definitely recommend the restaurant for a good dining experience.

Went there with a few coworkers
Food was good. We enjoyed every dish.
Naan was good but could have been a bit thicker as I like my naan thicker/fluffier but it was still good.
Serving staff were all nice and friendly.
Food quality was great. Everything tasted good. We almost didn’t go because of some bad reviews but we were not disappointed.
Only additional item to mention was the vindaloo, wasn’t as spicy as we would have wanted, but it tasted great. Waitress said next time to ask for next level so we will! Prices were reasonable for the area.
We’ll be back!

Indian restaurant, great ambience, hospitable service, food was decent. We ordered tandoori chicken, dal makhani, rochan josh(lamb) and garlic naan. The food was average, the dal had way much cream and the lamb was not very well cooked and was hard. The price is a rip off, the bill was $49000 local currency.

It’s a strange occurrence that some of the best Indian food that I have had is in Costa Rica! The spices tasted very fresh and the meats were all cooked to a tender perfection. The menu is surprisingly large with mix of dishes from both north and south India which can be hard to find. When I asked for a recommendation (due to the large amount of tasty dishes available) I was pointed towards their lamb which is their specialty and was not disappointed. I also ordered their passion fruit lassi which was absolutely unique and delicious. If you are in the mood for trying something outside of traditional Costa Rican food in San José, this is the place to go to.

Being from India (Hyderabad) and living in the US, I would have never imagined that I would be having the best tandoori chicken in Costa Rica! Must get the butter tossed tandoori chicken. It’s different and tastes amazing. Mutton kheema was good too, but I couldn’t get over the tandoori. Friendly staff and owners. Ambience is also good. The menu surprisingly has tons of dishes.
