Social Profile:

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

Waited over 20 minutes for our order. Then they tell us oh sorry we are out of ketchup. Didn’t offer to tell us or the other customers before we all ordered. They had a sign saying out of fries but I guess it was to hard for them to write and ketchup not to mention my lettuce was black, clearly not good. Definitely not the best customer experience I have had at a Whataburger.

Excessive wait time. Shouted Hello 7 times. No response from employees. Rude when acknowledged. Then told me I had to wait. Waited 10 more minutes. Most other locations are quicker. This one is the worst.

Have tried almost all Whataburger locations throughout the Springfield region as well as those in the outlying cities and this one is “Just Okay” as compared to the other locations. Nestled in on a busy strip close to Costco this should be a prime location spot but the workers are less to be desired at this location. The food was okay but not great but the workers seemed like they were having a party in the back with loud noise and talking between themselves about how many more hours until they’re out of there. The building is pretty nice and fairly new although the driveway entrance seems like you are on a Baja 4×4 race trying to just get into the parking lot. I’m assuming this was the City of Springfields doing and not the actual location however. Overall this was just a mediocre experience compared to the other locations in Springfield. But the locations convenience factor makes it a stop.

I suppose if I hadn’t had a Whataburger in 37 odd years, I might be less biased. I thought they were awesome. The staff were all nice, and while the food took a while to come out. It was all perfect. I’m bought two big old double whataburgers and saved one until actually didn’t eat it until 2 days later and I was able to wrap it up in paper towels and it’s original wrapping very carefully and it came out really good out of the microwave too so. I’ll be hitting them up again. And thanks for coming to Missouri.

This Whataburger is a literal joke. I work an evening job so this is one of the only food options late at night, so it’s unfortunately my go-to. While the food is always tasty and (mostly) fresh, their customer service continuously falls short. I understand it’s a fast food restaurant but their prices aren’t the cheapest… I always order the same two items, in which my order is accurate about one-third of the time. From missing fries, to ignoring my special request modifications, it’s a rare occasion to get my order correct, and it’s only a sandwich and fries. Usually the wait at night is about 15-35 minutes, which I wouldn’t mind if I was getting what I ordered. But I usually do not even correct them and get the right items because I don’t wait to wait an additional 20 minutes.

Two weeks ago I called the restaurant after I had believed to not received my debit card back from the window greeter. They had me describe my card and told me it was there for me and that I could come get it at any time. A couple nights later I went to pick up my card. After telling the crew I was supposed to pick up my card, they looked for 25 minutes and returned saying that they had to have their higher manager present to unlock the safe. They took my name and number and said I should be receiving a call. Today I call up there and the general manager says my card is now not in their safe, after two weeks of anticipation. I understand human error but at what point do we take accountability for our actions?

On the burger you really have to like the mustard and you can always take off the pickles are they put it. The spicy chicken sandwich was just average. The french fries or just also averaged two kind of like McDonald’s size. The spicy ketchup was just so so
If we go back there we will definitely have to special-order are burgers.

Love Whataburger! The #2 is the perfect combination of toppings- mustard, onions and lettuce. Fries are perfectly crispy and their ketchup is so much better than anyone else’s ketchup. That’s why they bottle it and sell it in stores.

I always like the food, it’s why I keep putting myself through this. BUT they need to hire more people and stop making the 3 employees they do have try to keep up with DoorDash orders, drive thru, and dine in because it isn’t working. It takes 30-45 minutes everytime you go through the drive thru. Even with only a few cars in line, they can’t keep up. Go somewhere else until they can figure it out. Do better whataburger. Your employees are struggling.

Only two people inside including myself.
Slowest service in the world. My first time and my last. Waited over 30 minutes for just a simple cheeseburger. I’m from Texas and they are really fast even if it’s busy.

We went through the drive though and it was pretty late at night. We waited in the drive through for 45mins to get our food. When we got home somehow we had an extra burger in our to go bag. The pattie melts we did order had onions on it when for both we ordered no onions. The guy doing the drive through orders was taking the orders, taking orders over the phone, filling the food bags, filling the drinks, and swiping the cards for payments. I think if he had some help with all of those tasks the food would have come out as ordered and much quicker.
