Went here for Valentine’s Day. The service was great. The Shrimp and Scallop risotto was very good as well. Only critiques were that the crab and artichoke dip had more grapes in it than crab. And the specialty drinks weren’t that good. But overall it was a good experience.

Great food, great service in a wonderful atmosphere. Our table of 8 was very well taken care of. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the appetizers were enjoyed by all. The courtyard Marriott location is a beautiful oceanfront hotel that houses the Captains Table. Great place to go for any occasion.

This place is interesting, the menu and food feel upscale, while the atmosphere feels inviting and not upscale. This is a very good thing since you do not feel or of place when you want a good meal. The crab cake was very good, even better than the one considered “best in ocean city”, and the steak was also very good. The sides were numerous and varied and really good, even the coleslaw. The bread was really good! I was not at the bar but the bartender was very nice and helpful to the people at the bar and makes his own mixers, which it sounded like the people really liked. The waitress was very attentive. I did visit in the off season, so it may be different in the summer, I know parking will be much more difficult. I will definitely come back here! Prices are a little high, but the food is good and I think worth the extra.

We had a wonderful experience here. It’s enjoyable to sit at the bar, have a few beverages and some appetizers. Highly recommend the crab guacamole. And the espresso and chocolate martinis? Out of this world. They have a pretty decent bourbon selection. And the price – priced just right.Lynn is an amazing bartender, and a great waitress. If you go ask for her because she is awesome.

We did not have a great experience overall. Some of the food we had was ok and some wasn’t. The crab soup was good. For my entree I had the surf and turf. The steak was great, the sauce that came with it made it even better, however the surf part (crab stuffed shrimp) was not. The shrimp at something off about it, I ate it any way because I’m greedy but I paid for it later. My wife had the Park chop (which we came here specifically because they had it on the menu, shes alergic to shellfish) but the chop was not seasoned at all. She described eating it like eating flesh, no flavor. She barely ate it. The waitress saw that she barely touched it but didn’t even offer any further dialog about it. When we were ready to leave it took forever for her to come back to get the check had to walk the payment over to her. Terrible experience. We went to harbor watch the next day, such a better experience!

My Boyfriend and I came here for our valentines dinner. We were seated right away (with reservations). We were seated in the very back room, which was already a let down from the main dining room with the piano playing and more intimate feeling, instead this room had the radio playing and very bright lights. It then took about 15-20 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us (all it would take was hi i’m sorry i will be right with you guys) when she finally came over we put our bar drinks in, the appetizer and our mains all at the same time. we got our waters, then later on the appetizer came out before the bread and our bar drinks? (we had the lobster mac special which ended up being cold, my boyfriend ate it because he was starving and who knows how long it would’ve taken at this point to get a new one) finally everything came out including our meals, which were ok, i only took a few bites and took the rest to go because i was so irritated by this point. we would’ve loved to get dessert but we just wanted to get out of there. during all of this we noticed a table that came in about 15 minutes after us got their waters, bread, bar drinks, appetizer and dinners before us in a speedy manner. in the end i think she could tell we weren’t happy and took off 2 drinks. Great thank you. It still didn’t make up for the awful experience. I was very excited to bring my boyfriend here since he’s never been, being i’ve been here with my family for Christmas eve dinners and it was amazing. I get it’s a busy night but it wasn’t that packed in there during this time, maybe she was new to serving i’m not sure. We will not be coming back. Also our servers name was Abigail if i’m correct.

The Captain’s Table has to be one of the best restaurants in Ocean City, Maryland. Every single thing that we tried was fabulous. Mike, the manager, and Jimmy, the bartender, are absolutely incredible employees and treat you like royalty. I cannot say enough about the food. I can’t wait to go back to eat there again. The restaurant is super clean and right off the Ocean City, Maryland, Boardwalk. Do yourself a favor and treat your taste buds to the best there is in Ocean City.

(Sorry, it’s a long one)
My husband took me here for Valentine’s Day today. We were seated right away (with reservations), the hostess was a nice young man. When we got to our seats it was in what appeared to be a small hall way that they converted into a small sitting area with about 6 small tables with 4 chairs each. When we got there there were 2 other couples sat in this area as well, that wasn’t the problem. It was the SILENCE of this place. There was only music at the bar which wasn’t the loudest where we were sat. I could hear EVERY word spoken by the other couples and I know they could hear us. Apparently the piano player comes later at night. He got there shortly before we left and you could hear that nicely, made it less awkward, plus he was very good. Our waitress barely gave my husband and I time to glance the menu before she came to our table asking for drinks then seemed offended when I had asked for waters and we will have our decision when she brings those. I got the Valentine’s Day martini and it was AWFUL. It did not taste like the description whatsoever!!! Once we finally had a chance to glance the menu, we placed our orders. We had gotten fried calamari rings and the lobster Mac n cheese appetizer they had “special” for Valentine’s Day. My husband got the rockfish and I got the 8oz filet mignon with bleu cheese on top with a side of sautéd onions, we both got the roasted potatoes and I got cream of spinach, he got the sautéed green beans. My filet mignon was very well done, no juice, no seasoning. Just a slab of meat with a MOUNTAIN of bleu cheese. The bleu cheese was incredibly strong to where it overpowered anything. The potatoes were so/so and the cream of spinach tasted like it was from a can. Our waitress barely gave us any attention, my husband had to flag her down every time and she didn’t seem happy about it. She never came by to ask us how anything was or if we needed anything. Now the one OLDER couple next to us she was extremely attentive, came by every few minutes and asked how things were for them. My husband who is a very level headed person feels as if she was resentful to us that we were younger and out for a nice Valentine’s Day dinner. Once he stated that, I could definitely see what he was talking about. Even at the end of our meal when we had to ask her for the boxes, she was rude and made a snide comment about not having dessert at the restaurant. Then she brought the check but took forever to come back and get our card. The only good thing I have to say about this place is the lobster Mac n cheese appetizer they had “special” for Valentine’s Day, it was perfect.
