Mama Rita’s Pizzeria is hands down the best pizza within a 20 mile radius, and honestly the only real New York style slice I’ll eat within 30 miles. The crust folds the way it’s supposed to with that perfect crisp on the bottom and just enough chew, the sauce isn’t overly sweet, and the cheese melts just right. Every time I grab a slice it feels like I’m back in Queens. Shout out to Kayle at the front, always welcoming and on point, makes you feel like family when you walk in. The place is also kept clean, which I appreciate, you can tell they take pride in what they’re doing. There’s a spot in Groveland too, but the Clermont location really has that neighborhood NY vibe. If you want real NY style pizza in Central Florida, this is the spot. Met owner on the way in lovey simple kind, good father too while he was talking with kid on the phone he greeted me and great ny vibes. Richie is amazing great pizza maker!

WOW. This place is a must if you’re from Long Island. You can tell from the first bite that all of the ingredients are fresh. The closest pizza to NY that I have found. The owner and worker were super friendly and nice! Will be back again and again.

The Real Deal. This place is a hidden gem. Pizza is on point and authentic NY style. The pasta was so delicious as well—service is friendly and these folks are doing it right. The restaurant is cozy with a fun nostalgic vibe. Highly recommend them.

This restaurant has outstanding personnel. I am from centralbVA. A very close friend ofviurs passed away and I wanted to send a few trays of food to his wife and family. Since I am so far away, I definitely could not pick it up. This restaurant does not delivercthemselves asxthey govthrough Door Dash. I explained the situation and was told there would be no issue with delivery. Our friend called us and said it was delivered on time and was very delicious.
I highly recommend this restaurant due to their outstanding customer service and quality/ quantity of food.

Leaving this review based on service ONLY as I didn’t get around to try their food. Went to try them out as I was hoping to get an eggplant Parmesan with pasta. First, the young lady taking the orders isn’t very welcoming whatsoever. I asked her if I can switch out the marinara sauce for vodka sauce for the pasta and she tells me yes but there’s an up charge. I tell her ok no problem at all, I don’t mind paying for my changes to their menu item. She then goes to answer the Phone 2 times, deliver food to another table, fill a cup of water and answer another call. 10 minutes later she comes back to finish charging me and then tells me they can’t switch the sauce. She didn’t bother to ask the kitchen if it could be done. So I stood there 10 minutes for nothing. Customers always come first!!! I’m hoping that maybe she can be properly trained to be more friendly and ask the kitchen before telling a customer no. Not sure if I’ll be back.

Sit down and strap in… let me short cut the rest of the review for those that just want the quick- This is the place you go if you want the best Pizza and food in town.

The long version, well maybe not so long.. the food, 100% best Pizza around this area hand down South Jersey Certified, and a close friend and foodie gave it the same for authentic NY taste and construction. A little bit of redesign from the previous occupant to this building, one thing you will notice is a fresh sign (not one made from previous tenants, if ya know ya know). The place is bright and vibrant, staff seems happy and eager to please. My order was received, and came to the counter from the oven right on time. Did I mention how great the pizza is.. check the photos, we ordered a pepperoni scisilian and a large garden salad. Neither one disappointed anyone in the family. The salad was fresh, crisp, hand cut veggies, and larger than expected (i would ask for atleast one more dressing cup to be right on the money). The pie was fabulous, crust was light and crisp, but thick as expected, sauce was plentiful, pepperoni was abundant, and cooked to perfection. For those of us who were excited to see “Panzarrotti” on the menu, let me clarify. There is a subscript that states Fried Calzone, if you want how us NJ/NY peeps expect it you just have to ask. I confirmed that I could remove the ricotta and add sauce and toppings with no problem. That will be my next update to this review.

So, welcome to the neighborhood (yes even though the other store wasn’t far away), as you can already tell, you will be busy here serving what we have all been longing for. You have me as a repeat customer and I look forward to watching you grow. Perhaps a more in-depth review with some behind the scenes photos? Just let me know.

Great Pizza! Just like Brooklyn NY pizza the best we have had in the area and all of Central Florida so far. Pictured is the Sicilian Nonno pie and is just like L & B from Brooklyn!

Wow! We’ve been looking for real NY style pizza for a long time and this brought back memories of home. Great pizza, perfect crust, good sauce, good sides and the large pie was so big it nearly didn’t fit in the box. White pizza was also excellent and a huge menu! Great experience and it was a quick and friendly exchange and we were in and out in 2 minutes at pick up. Highly recommend! If you want a full sit down meal type experience their Groveland location is excellent as well

The pizza was absolutely amazing! I spoke with the owner for about ten minutes, and I asked him about some of the ingredients they use, and everything is top notch. I highly recommended giving this pizza a try.
