Great service! Food was delicious! Glad we stopped in. We had a group of five, we had fried calamari, fried shrimp, steamers, poutine, oysters on the half shell, fried mushrooms and sirloin. No complaints from anyone… recommend it all!

This is a tough one. The food quality seems a bit better than average (I love that), but the execution was poor, and the mistakes were avoidable. Poutine fries were noticeably undercooked, gravy was the right kind (kudos!) but too watery, and the whole dish wasn’t hot enough. Chicken tenders were too thick, it was more like fried chicken, which is weird for an appetizer. Chicken was frozen, not fresh, but the meat quality seemed decent. The garden salad ingredients were not fresh at all, noticeable black edges on the lettuce, and cucumber was really old. We didn’t let them know about all these issues in person, maybe we should have; or maybe they should have noticed and not let any of that food out of the kitchen in the first place.
Also, the bar-height chairs we sat in were wobbly and very upright and uncomfortable, and the seat bottom was short, like child-sized.
Really wanted to like this place, and we may give it another shot if we happen to be in Woodsville again and we’re desperate.

I’m a typical fish and chips kinda girl, so that’s what and how I gauge sea food places. I found there’s to be very tasty and plentiful. Love the coleslaw and beer choices! Tried Harpoon Camp Wannamango and it’s now my favorite! Great spot to dine outside!

Good food, reasonable prices, the new bar area layout really make sense now you have seating and 1/2 and bar area and another where they will serve the mixed drinks. Wait staff extremely friendly and we’ll talk about most any subject. Great place to go and dine

We really enjoy coming to the Saltwater Bistro! We go often, actually! My only request… PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Get some music going inside & out!! Music makes the whole experience so much better!! Last night we had a group of 10 there, I pulled out my phone, set it on the table & played music. (Everyone I mentioned it to last night also agreed, MUSIC please & thank you!)

We waited 30 minutes for our food, people who came in after us received their food first(they were relatives of the bartender). When we finally received our food it was really under cooked, and there were metal shavings on my fries. The bartender came back to see how everything was only after my husband was almost done with his meal. Will not be back or recommend.
