The savory corn beef hash is full of flavor. Buttery biscuits melt in your mouth. Home made chips have the perfect balance of crunch and not too salty. However, the absolute best menu item is the Signature Foil Dog. The presentation is fun and the flavors will explode in your mouth.
Stop by this neighborhood favorite.
For how expensive it was, I expected better. That said, the food itself tasted good. I just wish the order had been handled more carefully.
I got the basic two eggs, bacon, and biscuit. Not pictured here (which was the real star of the show) were the from-scratch biscuits and gravy. Completely perfect quality and flavor. Everything hit perfectly. Yea, it’s basic breakfast, but when it’s this good it’s worth letting everyone know.
My wife had the crab quiche which was great, and my son had a kids pancake and the cook made a smile on it which got a laugh out of him when he first saw it. It’s the little things that bring joy and make something memorable.
Add to that the wonderful service, friendly welcome by the owner, and great atmosphere and I would easily go back the next time we are nearby.
The owner, Randy, is awesome—and the food somehow manages to be just as good. Everything is outstanding, from the homemade sloppy joes and Bloody Mary mix to the corned beef hash. We also tried the fried bologna and the smoked chicken salad, and both were fantastic.
If you’re anywhere near the area, this place is a must-visit.
This is the restaurant you want to visit multiple times each week. I tried to convince them to open a location in Maryland, unfortunately, I think they are committed to Florida. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and offers helpful recommendations. The owner, Randy, is so welcoming and takes pride in his restaurant.
We were visiting the area and dined at Rodie’s twice in 5-days. We tried a third time but had a large party and a flight to catch so we had to scoot. I mention this because our family wanted Rodie’s to be their last meal in Florida – a big compliment since we were fortunate to eat at some great spots.
The whole menu is worth trying. In non-rank order, excellent Reuben (my son says the best), incredible corned beef hash, delicious pancakes and breakfast sandwiches, and my favorite, the grouper sandwich. At many places the breakfast potatoes are an afterthought, not here, they are a great side. There is a lot of care and attention to detail.
Rodie’s for the W!
