I recommend Tono, but you must be specific about the preparation you expect. This food had good ingredients and the potential for 5 stars but didn’t hit the mark because of the way it was prepared. The Primo pizza(with cherry tomatoes added) had a really soggy crust despite the nice char around the edges. We put it in the oven to finish baking it. The South Philly sandwich (steak, cheese whiz, grilled onions, plus added mushrooms) had cheese whiz under the meat rather than on top as I’ve always had it and as pictured on the Tono website. The cheese whiz soaked into the bun, so it wasn’t easy to taste it and gave the bread an unpleasant texture.
Although this was delivery, we were tracking it and we couldn’t have gotten at home more quickly ourselves, so let’s not blame delivery! But the bottom line: If the pizza crust had been better and the cheese had been on top of the meat or in a side cup for the sandwich, this would’ve been a home run for sure. That’s why I recommend Tono even though this wasn’t the best.

First time here. WAY better than I expected. Didn’t realize you ordered at a counter. Kinda wish they had a menu so I sit and look at it. I didn’t wanna be that person who held up the line.
Kids pepperoni pizza was SO MUCH BETTER I COULD HAVE HOPED FOR!! Kids actually ate them. Didn’t mind the $8 price tag. Well worth the money. I tried their pineapple.. something. I enjoyed it. Would order it again. Salad was good. For the cost of lettuce these days at restaurants- this was one of the cheaper places to get a good salad.

Amazing! Wide selection of cheesesteaks, pizzas, salads, and more. Cheesesteaks were well seasoned and not greasy. Lots of delicious free sauces available and a great ambience. I ordered the cheesesteak supreme and my friend had the mushroom cheesesteak and both were great! Staff were very friendly and service was quick 🙂

This is my second time having Tono’s, my fiancée and I just had it on Thursday night for a late night dinner and again tonight. We absolutely LOVE it. I wish we tried it sooner. The first time I got we got the Classico, Focaccia bread and the Mushroom American.
The only complaint I have is with the Focaccia bread. It was VERY heavy on the rosemary and garlic. It takes a lot for me to be put off by garlic, as I love garlic, but this was enough to kill a vampire. It felt very dry. It definitely needs a sauce – probably marinara.
Tonight we got the Tono salad, Classico and the Mushroom American. My fiancée’s only complaint is the salad. The salad portion is big, but you only get two small half filled containers of dressing. Definitely not enough for the amount of salad you get. That’s the reason for my 4-star rating.
Otherwise I highly recommend the classico, and she recommends the Tono salad (just make sure you have additional dressing at home) and the Mushroom American.

After waiting almost a half hour for a takeout order, I got home with my two cheesesteaks only to find no fries—just a feeble attempt to sprinkle corn chips in the box. I don’t see much evidence of cheese either. What a disappointment! This location pales in comparison to the product as other Toni’s locations. I did NOT get what I paid for.

Pizza had great flavor! We really enjoy the Don Pepe with Tono right behind it!! Great classic cheese pizza with pepperoni is amazing!! The Toni is pretty sweet though. Great cheesesteak sandwiches!! Tuesday’s are quite busy with their special but worth the wait! The apple walnut salad could have used more walnuts but overall not bad. Service was good and food came out quick! Coke products would be better than Pepsi but they have a lot of other drinks to chose from!

We had the pleasure of trying Tono twice in a week trying both the cheesesteak and the pizzas. The pizza was the winner for us! We got the Don Pepe which is pepperoni and sausage. It is the best pizza around town. Great flavor and just the right amount of spice. We also really enjoyed the Pineapple Express which is cream cheese, ham, pineapple and sweet heat chili sauce. It had a great flavor. We would absolutely get these two pizzas again. On Tuesdays they have an *amazing* deal of buy a pizza and a pop, get a pizza and a pop. This Tono Tuesday deal is only available in the store though (Not the app and they don’t take phone orders). As you can imagine the restaurant was very busy for this deal but the workers are extremely hard working and kind and have it down to a science. I waited 25 minutes which is exactly what they quoted me for time. They also have a bunch of refrigerated sauces (Garlic aioli, bbq aioli, honey ranch and a tangy sauce) and non refrigerated sauces (Balsamic glaze, sweet heat hot honey and infused red chili oil) by the pop machine. Finally a pro tip, sign up for Tono rewards and get $15 rewards after your first order. Combine that with the Tono Tuesday offer and get 2 pizzas and 2 pops for $4. Thank me later. You’re welcome.

The pizza flavors are slightlt different and its good. If you want to try a local pizza with tangy, spicy, sweet flvours of basil, honey and other herbs, they u should try this. The sauces are local made and delicious. They have great option for Salads, cheesteaks too.
