Dirty bathrooms, horrible service, (I literally just got ignored at KFC. She was like did you need something else? And I was like um you haven’t even taken my order yet.)
Their food is subpar compared to what it used to be.
Hardly any toppings on their mashed potato bowls. They didn’t even hate something that they are advertising. Won’t be back!!!!!

They’re out of chicken every single time. Today they said it would be 16 minutes before they had more ready. How does a place that mainly sells chicken keep running out of chicken? It’s like McDonald’s being out of burgers or Buffalo Wild Wings being out of wings. Just mind-blowing.

I was on the property from approximately 12:49 PM to 1:37 PM, and the issues outlined below occurred during that timeframe.

I placed my order through the drive-thru and rounded up my total to charity at the time of payment. After paying, I was informed that there would be an 18-minute wait for my food. I requested my receipt and was told it would be placed in my bag once my order was ready. At that time, I was only given my drink.

After waiting approximately 25 minutes, I observed multiple customers who arrived after me receive their food before I did. When I finally received my order, it was incomplete. The queso was missing, and no receipt was provided. I parked and entered the restaurant to address the issue. Although the manager observed me walk in, I was not acknowledged until he completed another drive-thru order.

I explained to the manager, who identified himself as Bobby, that my order was missing both the queso and the receipt. He handed me a visibly crumpled receipt and stated he would return with the queso.

When he returned, the queso was brought out in a separate container and then poured directly into my cup rather than being dispensed from the proper equipment or containers typically used for this item. The queso was extremely watered down. When I questioned the quality, I was told to “give it five minutes to solidify.” Immediately after saying this, Bobby walked away, leaving me no opportunity to respond or ask further questions, and I had to wait again for him to return.

After waiting the additional five minutes, the queso remained watered down. When I raised this concern, Bobby then admitted that the queso was not ready at the time it was poured into my cup and acknowledged this only after I questioned the quality.

Due to the quality of the food and the manner in which the situation was handled, I politely requested a refund. Bobby stated that the store does not issue refunds and that all sales are final, directing me to contact corporate. When I asked what could be done to resolve the issue, he stated that he could call his manager, and I asked him to do so.

While speaking with his manager by phone, he was given step by step instructions on how to process a refund. He then returned with my money, offered a one word “sorry,” quickly grabbed all of the food, and walked away immediately, leaving no opportunity for further conversation.

I waited until he resurfaced and then asked for the name of the manager he had spoken with. When I asked, he repeatedly directed me to look at the door rather than answering directly. After asking multiple times, he finally stated her name was Crystal. At that point, he made a sarcastic comment upon noticing that my glasses were recording.

As I exited the restaurant, another comment was made that led me to believe it was directed toward me in a dismissive manner. When I returned to ask for clarification, his demeanor noticeably changed. He appeared more friendly and collaborative after realizing he was still being recorded; however, by that point, the damage had already been done. The shift in tone did not feel sincere, but rather an attempt to protect himself once he became aware of the recording.

Throughout this entire interaction, I remained calm, patient, and respectful. Unfortunately, that same level of professionalism and respect was not extended to me. The excessive wait time, missing items, improperly prepared food, lack of transparency, resistance to resolution, and dismissive conduct from management resulted in an experience that left me extremely dissatisfied.

This experience was disappointing and unacceptable. I will not be returning to this location, and I believe it is important that leadership is aware of how customers are being treated.

Ordered the new cheese curds with my meal. Somehow they couldn’t figure out a double order of curds. So the meal plan of splitting the food with someone was ruined.
My queso arrived hotter than warm, my 8pc nuggets arrived cold, like deli meat. My fries were cold and my curds were warm.

0/10 wouldn’t recommend.. it in fact was not “packed and double-checked for accuracy” ‍♂️

I hate to do this, but I have to be honest. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in my visit to KFC this evening, Oct. 27th, 2025. The service was fantastic and the young gal who helped me was super great. HOWEVER, the food was another story. 4 small strips that were way overdone and extremely cold. The biscuit, cold. The only thing warm was the mashed potatoes and gravy! I’ve visited this location several times before and have NEVER had this experience there. It’s really making me think twice now considering I paid $18 and some change for my food. Nice people, but just plain awful food tonight.

Didn’t come close to getting what was ordered. The workers don’t know what’s on the menu. Ordered honey bbq and they just grabbed old spicy wings and put the honey bbq sauce on them. Didn’t receive any biscuits or nuggets!!! I blame myself for even going to this place. I’ve come here maybe 5 times in 8 years. It’s either a long wait. Unprofessional drama in store behind the counter among employees or the order is incorrect.

Traumatic, horrible service at this location in Lees Summit. I ordered pick up. I went to the store but the entrance door is locked. I don’t see visible movements inside so I thought it’s closed. I waited while looking for their phone number, someone answered saying “Oh you should go around in drive thru. We don’t have dine in at the moment” For me okay no biggie as I’m only here for pick up. (Although, would be nice if you put a sign at your door). Then I went home and found out I don’t have fries as one of my sides. They gave me 2 corns, instead of 1 fries/1 corn. Then my large gravy that I paid for is half empty, not even 3/4 and worst my chicken is so dry and hard. Feels like a leftover from last night and reheated tonight. I called to complain, staff said “I’m sorry I told my coworker to call you to say we don’t have fries so we just doubled your corn. If you comeback tomorrow you can get your fries.” I did not receive any call from KFC. What the heck, what if I’m going out of town and can’t comeback anytime soon or what if I’m not from here?? It’s not the fries actually that I’m irritated, it’s how you guys deal with customers. You guys are at fault here and you expect your customer to come back just to get the fries???? What did the customer benefit from you? What can you do to help the customer by not just asking them “oh you can come back tomorrow for your fries.” Face palm. I could have let it slide if only your chicken is chewable enough for consumption, not like a dried rubber sole. So disappointing. Been a customer for like 4yrs now at this location.

Told to pull forward to wait on a 3 piece chicken strip combo. Waited for almost 20 minutes and had four or five cars come after us, who all got to pull off with their food before us. No refund was offered.

We took our granddaughter there because she loves the mac & cheese. We did dine-in and the staff there was so nice. They brought out the food and came by several times to see if we needed anything. Honey BBQ Rocks!

It’s been a couple years since I’ve been here but they have definitely fell off. I wanted some comfort food their pot pie usually always does it for me but when I opened the box to see it caved in I should have known something was wrong. There was barely any filling in there with 2 pieces of chicken in the chicken pot pie. I’m glad they brought the wedges back I ordered a side of wedges They did have me pull up and I was outside waiting over 15 minutes for them to bring my food out.
