Just finished my leftovers from DS Cafe this afternoon, and wow! This place is delicious! My friend and I ordered at the counter and dined in, and while I wish they might’ve had a little background music playing for the atmosphere, they well made up for it with heaping servings, kind service, and delicious food! They even gifted us a complimentary rice pudding which was so creamy and just the right amount of sweet! Thank you so much, DS Cafe!

Went to DS Cafe for dinner for the first time tonight, so glad I did. Simple and cozy interior, very welcoming owners and great food! They didn’t have goat so I ordered lamb kadai instead, and it was amazing! The dessert, ghulab jamun, was very good too, just the right amount of sweet and very delicate, melts in your mouth. I will be coming back for more delicious food here for sure!

So far I’ve had the pleasure of eating from DS Cafe twice, in one word, phenomenal.
The care put into the flavors and the level of thoughtfulness put into the packaging of the dishes down to sachets of tinfoil filled with garnishes of fried onions, fresh peppers, and coriander. Not to mention the aromas of spices when you walk in the door wraps your soul in a soothing, welcome home feeling.
To summarize do your self a favor and stop in I know I’ll be back.

I placed and order for pickup and after 50mintues the food was not ready. They started preparing the food only after I arrived and served me half the order and forgot the rest after 15more minutes. All I get after this is a bland sorry and tasteless food.
Edit : The falsehoods and attitude of this person is glaring. I called for pickup and clearly mentioned 2biryani and 1 chicken 65. She confirmed the order twice and said 20minutes your food will be ready. Cannot imagine the audacity to lie about customers. I have nothing against the restaurant and travelled extra to get your ‘best’ food. I expected a good experience and not bad service and falsehoods. It would definitely help your business to own mistakes and improve.
And regarding biryani being best in Vermont, its definitely not biryani. A note to other customers checking reviews – please check the photo I uploaded – this is what I got.

Each plate came out about 15 minutes apart, in disposable dishes. It was unimpressive, from the bland samosa to the saag paneer that just kind of tasted like spinach and nothing else. The chicken tikka and butter goat had good meat, I’m told, but no kick or noticeable flavor.
I’m hopeful if we return and ask for their hottest food it’ll have better flavor.

Our first time ordering from them tonight, and we were not disappointed!
The owners are very warm & welcoming. The food is delicious & filling.
We got the coconut chicken, chicken momo, and samosas. They also gifted us some Gajar Halwa which was very kind!
We can’t wait to go back & try more of their menu items!

I had a great experience at DS Cafe. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The dishes we ordered were cooked to perfection and the flavors were amazing. The prices were very reasonable and we left feeling very satisfied. I would highly recommend DS Cafe to anyone looking for a great meal.

YUM! We’ve been anxiously awaiting the arrival of DS Cafe in Northfield! I dined in with a friend and tried vegetable and chicken mo mo, chicken korma, and beef nehari. Everything was beautiful and flavorful. As we waited for our meals, the chef brought us a tasting of a soup which was also delicious. We are excited to return and work our way through the menu!

Super delicious! We had a Falafel Gyro, Chicken Tikka Masala and chicken Biryani. Level of spice and spicy was on point. Sauces tasted great, buttery and very well seasoned.
In ordered on line, the experience overall was efficient.

I’ve ordered from them twice. The first time was more or less okay. They didn’t have everything on their menu available, and my food looked NOTHING like the pictures. Like, it wasn’t even the same color. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. Ordering online is a pain. The second time I ordered from them, I noticed that their site automatically added SIXTEEN DOLLARS to a $45 order, for takeaway. I’m more than happy to tip, but that just seems slimy. (Sorry, but takeaway isn’t a 20% tip, especially if there are “fees” as well. Include the tip in the price of the food if it’s automatically charged.) When I arrived to pick up my order, they said cash only. They could have told me that over the phone.
