I was looking for a place to work and this restaurant was recommended to me. Upon taking a seat, as I was fiddling with the internet (which wound up never working inside the building, but worked fine outside) my server came and got my drink order. I ordered a hot water with lemon, which seemed to confuse her. I also gave her my meal order, which was huevos rancheros with a side of red. Moments later, she came back with my hot water but could not remember whether she took my order or not. I reminded her that she did, in fact, take my order already. The water was lukewarm, possibly from the tap. I was hoping she would have gotten it from a coffee dispenser or wherever they have hot water. The lemons she brought were unevenly cut and pretty mangled, and I was unable to work with them because they were in such bad condition. They looked like they had been squeezed by somebody else. I had to ask for new lemons and I received them in much better condition that had been properly cut and was able to use them, but my water was cold by that time. The server who replaced my lemons was very nice and she had been to my table more times than my original server, and she even brought my food to me. The food was okay, the chile was not too hot, which is a good thing for me. As I worked through my plate, I reached for my tortilla and saw that it was burnt. I tried to take a couple bites but I really could not get past the burnt taste. So the woman who was not my server who replaced my lemons got me a new one quickly. Finally, my original server came by and I told her I was ready for the check. She motioned with her head to just pay at the front and walked away. There was no real effort and her lack of common sense and effort was apparent. The kindly server, who replaced my lemons and tortilla was amazing, which is why this restaurant is getting two stars from me. I really hope my server learns proper customer service and how to make an effort. The internet never worked, I did not get any of my work done, and my server gave me an awkward experience. The lady who made the fixes was awesome and if I could guarantee she would be my server in the future, I’d go back (and stick with a sopapilla).

Amazing food, service and atmosphere! You can tell from the warm greeting this restaurant really cares about its customers. They sit and talk with you and make sure you feel appreciated. The carne adovada has to be the best in town. Period. And the restaurant itself has a very like home feel. Overall blown away by the experience and will definetly be back!

The salsa was on point. Fast friendly service. Our only complaint is that it was freezing we ate with our jackets on.

The wait was a few minutes for breakfast. We were nicely greeted by the server. The establishment has a few tables for indoor dining. You may need to wait outside for a few minutes before you get inside. During our visit there was a bit of smoke in the establishment, not a lot but not well ventilated. They took our beverage orders a little while later. When they came with beverages they took our food order and I can confirm that it does take a little while to make. We ordered huevos with green chile and some chorizo and potatoes and huevos with green chile and some carne adovada and potatoes as well. The green chile was not spicy, actually surprised it looked almost brown. The potatoes were a little greasier than I would’ve liked. I appreciated the onions and jalapenos in the chorizo. Overall the meal did not have the best green chile presentation or flavor. The carne adovada and sopapillas were the high point of the meal. Chips and salsa were okay as well. For being a New Mexican staple for a long time I would’ve liked the green chile to be the star of the show, unfortunately it wasn’t.

The food here is amazing! I’ve only come in here a handful of times but their food is always so good. My favorite is the chicharron. I get them with eggs and red Chile. The Chile here is so flavorful and it has a good kick. I always favor green Chile in all the restaurants I go to but here I love the red. Give this place a try, they’re not open all day so they have specific hours and usually there is alot of people because the food is very good but it’s worth the weight. Also, service here is great, staff is always so attentive and nice. If you read my review please hit the like button..thank you.

Oh man…… You ever get greeted and helped by the nicest person ever, so you don’t want to leave a bad review? Yeah that’s this review. She was kind, smiling, and helpful. This girl made me want to be a regular. So I absolutely hate that I have to leave a mom and pop shops a 1 star review. But please see the picture below!
I was craving tamales. I’m heading home. I’ve had really good tamales at El Modelo but they’re expensive and further away. I look up restaurants nearby and this came up. The menu price says $2 per tamal (in the pictures here) and this place is 4 stars. Let’s go!
I was charged $16 and some change for 4 tamales. 4 broken, sad, not very good tasting tamales. 4 tamales that shouldn’t cost $6 for all of them they’re so sad. I mean look at the picture! If there was tamales left at the bottom of a bag. And they tried to piece them together to give away. It may look like this. I tried a piece when I got home and it was soggy so I got all the broken pieces and put them on a comal to try to get them crispy and good (second picture). The more I looked at them, the more upset I was that this was almost $17 freaking dollars.
So this review is what they earned regardless of the nice girl at the counter. No, I won’t be going back ever, and honestly, I hope you see this Pic and know exactly what to expect for $16 and change. Holy cow guys. Thiscwas v simply terrible. Who serves that and at that price?
