Excellent spot for some fresh wood fired Pie. Walking in you are met with a warm welcome. The space is small, but reminds me of family. I recommend taking a trip, or stoping by if you are at the Beachland Ballroom for a show. 5 stars do not tell the story. So check it out yourself!

We were in Cleveland for the day and googled pizza restaurants near us. We saw Citizen pie did wood fired pizza and had good reviews so we decided to give it a try.
Upon entering the building we were greeted immediately and were shown the menu. There were a lot of choices to choose from for toppings.
I decided to go with the New Yorker: As soon as I took the first bite it was delicious! Fresh ingredients and fresh perfectly cooked dough. The 2 others in our party chose build your own pizzas and they both raved as well. I would recommend to give this establishment a try.

Great pies. I don’t usually stray too far from traditional pizzas, but the Mushroom pizza has converted me! The traditional stuff is excellent too. And the two guys who were there were SUPER nice!

Laid back spot with really good wood fired pizzas. Not the best pizza in town, but one of the best pizza PLACES, if that makes sense.

It’s just really good pizza. The dough is so good and the wood oven tops it off. Also they have beef pepperoni which automatically makes it one of my favorite places.

Omg! The best pitstop we made! They were very welcoming and friendly, the pizza is amazing! We left out of here satisfied and full!! The cheese pull was amazing! You have the option to build your own pizza or try out their specialty! All their pizza size is 12 inches which can feed 1-2 people! Definitely a hands down would come back

We stopped here mid day on a Thursday. There were a few people hanging out at the tables out front and one person eating at the counter. We were greeted immediately. The shop is pretty small but clean and cozy.

We ordered an Americano pizza with sausage, mozzarella, and pistachios. The flavor combination was amazing and the crust was perfect. We got a smoked pepperoni to go which was also fantastic.

More than anything we really enjoyed the neighborhood family feel of this place. It was super welcoming. The guys were so friendly and having fun together. It’s nice to eat great food in a place with such a nice vibe. Will be back

My family and I love the pizzas from Citizen Pie, but the service is consistently poor and leaves so much to be desired that we do not want to patronize this restaurant anymore. We have always ordered by phone, placing our order with one of the employees, and receive a time to arrive when our pizza should be prepared. Every single time except once we arrive and they say they’re about to start preparing our order. Why are we even ordering by phone if the order isn’t started until we get there?

Today specifically we ordered two pizzas and were told they would be ready in 15-20 minutes. We arrived at 25 minutes, hoping that they would be ready after some extra time. When I walked in I told the employee my name and he said he forgot that I had ordered, then asked what the types of pizzas I had were. After telling him the ones I wanted, he told me they would be made immediately and I would just have to wait 5 minutes. Those 5 minutes dragged into 20. The working employees were chatting with their two friends at the counter, and only one other customer in the restaurant was waiting, while pizzas with the dough and sauce were sitting on the counter next to them ready to be made. It is insulting to place an order, have them forget it, then be told that it would be ready in 5 minutes and be forced to wait 20, all while the employees are messing around in front of me.

This is the worst experience I have had at Citizen Pie, but I usually have to wait 10-15 minutes, which is a complete waste of my time after calling to order. Most of the time it isn’t even busy inside, which makes me even more furious about this situation.

The pizza is very tasty but is overpriced, especially if I have to waste my time while they make it. The online prices are also $1-$2 more expensive than the menu says.

I hope they can figure out how to have pizzas ready when the customers get there. If you plan to go here just go in person and be prepared to wait, calling ahead is not as convenient as you might think.
