This was our first time eating at Schwaben House, we went to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. It has a nice atmosphere for a special occasion. We had the Mini Raclette for an app, which was great. I had the Maultasche, wife had the Chef-Maultasche. There dough of the Maultasche was thin and light. I liked the brown gravy that came with mine. My wife liked the tomato sauce on her plate and felt it went well with the Maultasche but didn’t like that the Kezaspatzle was on top of the tomato sauce and easily got mixed togather. We had cocktails before dinner and coffee and dessert after. We really enjoyed the night.

The Rostbraten was amazing, cooked to perfection, and the spätzle was delicious. And my wife had the Chef’s Special for the night: tender beef tips with mushrooms and peppers in a delicious gravy served with spätzle. Very authentic. I’ve traveled to the Swabian region in Germany several times, and the food here tastes just like what I’ve had over there. Highly recommend

This place is WONDERFUL, elegant atmosphere, friendly intelligent staff, and authentic delicious food
Even though I came in looking like I’d been dragged through a knot hole, there was NO distain given, which speaks very highly in my book!

It good quality and we got charged $13.00 for a small bowl of soup when the menu shows it was $8. When we inquired the waitress who couldn’t speak plain English and was very unfriendly, said it was the special price for soup of the day. Why a rip off. It took very long for us to get our food and the waitress didn’t check up on us much until we were totally out of drinksz This was not a good experience. Not going back. Sorry.

Authentic German cuisine! Love the Cod and Flounder! So delicious! Wine and spirits list is quite large. Pick a beer. Enjoy some bologna strip appetizer (yes, that’s right!) or something recommended by the server. What an evening that satisfies and interests the palate! Bring friends or have a business dinner like we did. Either way it is a must!

We’ve been loyal customers for over 10 years and have never been disappointed! We do miss the Sauerbraten. It was removed from the menu years ago; but is featured as a “Special” entree now and again! This is the essential German restaurant in Greenville County!

Everything was great at Schwaben House, perfect for a date night. They recommend parties with kids to dine in from 5 to 7 pm so you barely find any children after that which helps with the romantic ambiance. They also ask for smart casual attire, which I think it’s great . Food was delicious and traditional, decor is very original as well and the serves are exceptional. We enjoyed our time here and will for sure come back.
Desserts are to die for!

My husband and I are here for our 5 year anniversary and it was such a wonderful way to celebrate! This is such a special place! It way exceeded all my expectations. The food was so phenomenal, especially the pumpkin soup!! The ambiance was so gorgeous and romantic (upscale, not your average cheesy German dining experience). Our server was wonderful. It was worth every penny! I also highly recommend the caramel mousse! Yummy!! One of the most amazing places in Greenville, in my opinion!
